Home For The Holidays: A Visual Outfit Diary

Two words: comfy chic.

Style

When traveling home for the holidays, the closer I get, the more my excitement grows as I anticipate the Sacramento, California's picture perfect fall weather that I've grown to love over the years. Unlike Los Angeles, where I’m from, we experience a range of versatility when it comes to the seasonal forecast. Surrounded by clear sunny skies and colorful sky high trees, the city’s landscape offers nature’s best.

Moving to southern California nine years ago, my collection of heavy coats and winter accessories has diminished as I’ve taken advantage of nearly everyday perfect temperatures since my arrival. While I love LA’s amazingly warm weather, I still love to get a cozy cute casual look when I can.

Up north, comfort is key when out and about and just like any other occasion, it has to be done in style. Below is my visual outfit diary for being home for the holidays.

Today, I decided to wear oversized sweatpants along with a coordinating sweatshirt and long-line maxi vest to maximize my comfort while also hiding the few extra pounds I gained from the holidays. With plans to relax and run a few errands during the day, I wore my gold, black and white sneakers to complement my coordinating color palette. Perfect for clear sunny skies and 60-degree weather, I felt so comfortable in this cozy combination.

With the weather not as cold as I anticipated, this oversized black leather jacket was a vital piece throughout my day. Lightweight but heavy enough to keep me warm without overheating, I’m happy I brought it on my trip. Pairing a white cropped knit long sleeve and matching wide-leg pocket pants, this outfit may be the highlight of my weekend. Choosing my accessories was the icing on the cake.

Complete with Dr. Marten platform boots, a leather shearling chain bag, and a multicolored bucket hat, this is one of my all-time favorite fall looks.

No matter where I am in the world, Sunday brunch is always a vibe. Keeping it casual, I opted for wide-leg denim jeans along with a black and grey knit bodysuit. Wearing my leather jacket and platform Docs for a second day, I wanted to maximize the small selection of my favorite pieces for the weekend. For a subtle pop of color, I added a burgundy satin shoulder bag and light brown rectangle sunnies to complete this stylish girl next door ensemble.

What's A Praise Kink? 8 Phrases To Get You Off In Your Next Partner Play

Does hearing the phrase, “you’re such a good girl” during sex turn you on? If so, you might have a “praise kink.” When I hear the term praise kink, the church girl in me wants to immediately play “The Lady, Her Lover and Lord” while riding reverse cowgirl. But that’s not what is meant by the term praise kink. A “praise kink,” is a sexual fetish that focuses on overt praise, exaggerated compliments, and an outpour of verbal affection.
