As temperatures rise quickly while we are still kind of stuck at home, my outfit choices have gone from warm and chunky to loose and flowy as I deal with this summer's latest heat wave. I still love an oversized approach to my everyday outfits as 'comfortable, but make it fashion' is my life's goal, but with warmer weather comes slight adjustments to staying cool and cozy.

Satin is the perfect alternative to create a chic lightweight leisure look for practically every occasion this season. As we put away our warm weather essentials, here's a guide to keeping cool and comfortable in my new favorite pant style.

Find a neutral colored statement top to pair with your satin pants for a feminine and modern yet earthy mix up. This 'fit is perfect to lounge around in alone or with friends, and you'll feel light as a feather while gracefully enjoying both the great in and outdoors. Perfect for a cute summer day, wear a simple sandal to complete this comfy chic outfit.

I love the tied sweatshirt look so I decided to give it another try with my satin pants for an elevated sporty feel. Is there anything better than a tank top during the warmest of weather? Pair with a knit crop top while adding a casual sneaker or Birkenstock sandal for an even cozier summer look.

This summer I'm living my best leisure life and coming with the looks to match, ready to hop on a yacht or set sail towards the sea for a much-needed baecation. I am loving these satin pants with an open button down paired with a printed cami or bikini top for the perfect cover up. Accessorizing with a gold chain belt for a pop of vintage, this look is the definition of unbothered.

A 5-Year Healing Journey Taught Me How To Choose Myself

They say you can’t heal in the same place that made you sick. And I couldn’t.

The year was 2019, and I knew I had to go. My spirit was calling me to be alone and to go alone. It was required in that season. A few months prior, I had quit my job. And it was late 2017 when I had met trauma.

Sergio Hudson On Designing With Intention And Who Gets Left Out Of The Industry

Sergio Hudson dreamt big as a young South Carolina boy staring out of the window of his mom’s Volvo driving down the Ridgeway, South Carolina streets. Those dreams led him to design opulent tailoring that’s been worn by Beyoncé, Queen Latifah, former Vice President Kamala Harris and Forever First Lady Michelle Obama, just to name a few.

Those dreams have come full circle in a new way as he recently collaborated with Volvo for a mini capsule collection suitable for chic and stylish moments this fall. The 40-year-old designer follows a long legacy of fashion aficionados who’ve used their innovation to push the automotive industry forward, including Virgil Abloh, Eddie Bauer, Paul Smith and Jeremy Scott.

What Loving Yourself Actually Looks Like

Whitney said it, right? She told us that if we simply learned to love ourselves, what would ultimately happen is, we would achieve the "Greatest Love of All." But y'all, the more time I spend on this planet, the more I come to see that one of the reasons why it's so hard to hit the mark, when it comes to all things love-related, is because you first have to define love in order to know how to do it…right and well.

Personally, I am a Bible follower, so The Love Chapter is certainly a great reference point. Let's go with the Message Version of it today:
