Three things: 2020 isn't canceled. Living your best life isn't canceled. Dressing up isn't canceled.

It just looks different now. And that's not a bad thing because we are becoming more creative and intentional in every realm of our lives – that includes our style choices. Being in the house makes you want to lounge in pajamas and sweatpants but sometimes you need to switch it up. Even your dreaded-now-celebrated trips to the grocery store could use some sparkle. No worries, we got you, sis.

We rounded up some lewks we have been double-tapping from Instagram that we know will brighten up your life. You'll find pops of color, new trends, tried and true staples, and simple feel-good clothes on our list. Keep reading for inspo!

Devyni

Devyni elevated her distressed denim with a graphic tee, mules and a flat cap. She is giving us all the off-duty model vibes. You could easily rock this getup to Target or for a stroll around the block.

Antonia

Zoom celebrations are the new wave in the era of social distancing. We might as well get cute in the house to stunt for these said celebrations. Opt for a retro lewk like Antonia. Her wide leg pants are to die for!

Nelly

Doesn't Nelly's number make you want to dance to "Why Don't You Love Me" by Beyonce? It also makes me want to be super domesticated and whip up a super southern meal.

Kiitan

The effortlessness of a midi dress makes my heart so happy. You can don it with sneakers like Kiitan or wear your favorite kitten heels. Yes, I said kitten heels because they are on trend and won't have you doing the 'my feet hurt' walk.

Vanessa

Sweatshirts and sweatpants are the champions of quarantine. They provide the comfort and ease needed to make it through endless Zoom meetings and homeschooling the kiddos. Make the basics fashionable with a beanie and hoop earrings.

Tyla

Tyla is the queen of tie-dye realness; it's been her go-to during the safer-at-home orders. We can't front – tie-dye is such a cool print. It's also a dope way to pass the time.

Fisayo

Summer dresses are still a thing so make sure you have a couple in your closet. Fisayo made this one her own by not buttoning every button and added nude mules for an ultra-chic outfit.

Juliette

Give us leg, Romiette! Her monochromatic lewk makes us want to get dolled up. We dare you to do the same! It will be the highlight of your day.

Ryan

Ryan can do no wrong and her kick game is as strong as Beyonce's wig glue. Feeling Sporty Spice-ish? Get like Ryan and pair your favorite bikini top with baggy sweats and a white button-down.

Paola

Grab your mini-me and dress up in the same color for a fun, socially distanced day in the park. Head wraps are clutch for bad hair days too. Paola's red lip and jeweled earrings made it so high fashion.

Kellie

Kellie is showing us how to wear a short sweat set with style and confidence. It is warming up outside but wear what makes you feel comfortable and ca-yute!

Aysha

Shoutout to Aysha for giving us WFH outfit inspo because our creativity is starting to dwindle. We really appreciate her high-waist pants and jersey knit crop top. She could even wear this to a virtual happy hour with some bold earrings.

Rochelle

Rochelle got dressed up just for us so we owe it to her to copy and paste her outfit. Her layered summer dress is picture-perfect and we love how she styled it. You can also try adding different colors like red or yellow for other styling options. You could even rock white sneakers to dress it down.

Derria

If you're going to wear joggers, you might as well make sure they are leather. If you're going to wear sneakers, you might as well make sure they are cow print. Derria fashioned a simple all-black look extremely modish by adding textures and prints.

Generation To Generation: Courtney Adeleye On Black Hair, Healing, And Choice

This article is in partnership with Target.

For many Black women, getting a relaxer was a rite of passage, an inheritance passed down from the generation before us, and perhaps even before her. It marked the transition from Black girlhood to adolescence. Tight coils, twisted plaits, and the clickety-clack of barrettes were traded for chemical perms and the familiar sting of scalp burns.

A 5-Year Healing Journey Taught Me How To Choose Myself

They say you can’t heal in the same place that made you sick. And I couldn’t.

The year was 2019, and I knew I had to go. My spirit was calling me to be alone and to go alone. It was required in that season. A few months prior, I had quit my job. And it was late 2017 when I had met trauma.

What Loving Yourself Actually Looks Like

Whitney said it, right? She told us that if we simply learned to love ourselves, what would ultimately happen is, we would achieve the "Greatest Love of All." But y'all, the more time I spend on this planet, the more I come to see that one of the reasons why it's so hard to hit the mark, when it comes to all things love-related, is because you first have to define love in order to know how to do it…right and well.

Personally, I am a Bible follower, so The Love Chapter is certainly a great reference point. Let's go with the Message Version of it today:
