No matter the season, one of my favorite items to shop for are dresses. From minis to maxis, there's always a range of lengths and styles that are a must-have when adding to your wardrobe. This year is all about stylishly bold looks no matter the occasion. While being restricted to sweatpants and t-shirts for over a year, I'm excited to get my sexy back with casual yet timeless pieces that can be worn in steady rotation.

As I get older, I'm becoming more in tune with my feminine side, adding all types of dresses to my wardrobe. Not only am I opening up to a range of new looks, it's the ease that comes with throwing on a dress and boots this season. I'm loving both classic yet conservative chic options that are still bold and fun at the same time. On my list of must-haves are styles and silhouettes I can wear both day and night since I'm all about getting the most wear out of my fashion purchases.

As I've scoured the internet for inspiration, I couldn't get past these looks for fall that should be on everyone's radar.

1.The Blazer Dress

The blazer dress speaks for itself and many different women from all walks of life. No matter your personal style, you can rock a blazer dress while making it your own. Pair with a boot, or sneaker, or slay in your sexiest wrap-around heel for a range of looks. What I love most are the non-traditional blazers like this belted wrap dress. The cinched waist adds an elevated element that's perfect to transition from day to night.

2.The Mighty Maxi

When I think of fall fashion, I think of maxi dresses. The color of this knit maxi dress and contrasting black buttons is everything a fashion girl needs and more. Pair with a flat or heeled boot and a contrasting bag to cure your winter blues.

3.The Layered Corset

For a sleek night out, a corset dress is definitely on the top of my list for head-turning looks when on the town. If in need of a cute daytime look, layering a strapless dress with a long-sleeve button-up underneath is a chic balance of conservative and sexy. As we've entered into fall, a layered look is also a great way of enhancing your summer wardrobe.

4.The Casual Knit

I love a casual long-sleeved knit dress mainly for its versatility. Dressed up or down, with either heels or sneakers and you'll get plenty of wear throughout the cold weather seasons. The length of this knit dress is perfect for those who want a less conservative yet casual take vs a traditional knit maxi dress. When shopping, look out for styles with trending colors and textured prints for an eye-catching take on this classic dress style.

5.The Satin Number

The satin slip dress is indeed a go-to for every woman, no matter her age. Typically worn during the spring/summer months, a great way to transition this dress is by simply pairing a matching blazer or jacket for an extra layer. I'm loving this monochromatic hot pink maxi look accessorized with dramatic jewels and a printed zebra bag for an ultimate fashion-forward fall moment.

Generation To Generation: Courtney Adeleye On Black Hair, Healing, And Choice

This article is in partnership with Target.

For many Black women, getting a relaxer was a rite of passage, an inheritance passed down from the generation before us, and perhaps even before her. It marked the transition from Black girlhood to adolescence. Tight coils, twisted plaits, and the clickety-clack of barrettes were traded for chemical perms and the familiar sting of scalp burns.

A 5-Year Healing Journey Taught Me How To Choose Myself

They say you can’t heal in the same place that made you sick. And I couldn’t.

The year was 2019, and I knew I had to go. My spirit was calling me to be alone and to go alone. It was required in that season. A few months prior, I had quit my job. And it was late 2017 when I had met trauma.

What Loving Yourself Actually Looks Like

Whitney said it, right? She told us that if we simply learned to love ourselves, what would ultimately happen is, we would achieve the "Greatest Love of All." But y'all, the more time I spend on this planet, the more I come to see that one of the reasons why it's so hard to hit the mark, when it comes to all things love-related, is because you first have to define love in order to know how to do it…right and well.

Personally, I am a Bible follower, so The Love Chapter is certainly a great reference point. Let's go with the Message Version of it today:
