There is something magical that happens when you decide to choose yourself and take back your life. For bombshell Jordyn Woods, her decision to boss up and dig deep within herself was in response to others trying to control the narrative of her life. However, it appears as though sis is doing the work to rewrite her own story and has attracted a co-signer…TUH.

As Jordyn steps into her own light and embraces her God-given gifts including those dangerous curves, she has made the decision to capitalize off those who like to look but never will get to touch in the form of an OnlyFans account. The move to do so has been met by excitement from some and skepticism from others, regardless the mogul is actually using the opportunity to be paid for her vulnerability. During a talk with Page Six, she explains the reasoning behind her decision:

"You get to control your narrative, and I found a platform that I can share my more out there content, and I can share things that I love to do, and my creative side — and not have judgment for it, as well as my photos, can't be used for other people's likeness."

When it comes to Jordyn's free content, namely her most recent birthday vlog, it's obvious to see that in addition to leveling up personally, she is writing her own love story too. She has decided to share footage of a gifted lavish vacation where she was surrounded by the women in her life that support her being in the spotlight alongside a tall, handsome and generous NBA star Karl-Anthony Towns. A long cry from claiming that the Minnesota Timberwolves was just a friend, you can catch them boo'd up. She gushes:

"If we're being fully transparent, he and I have been friends for a few years now and we were just really close friends. We would talk all the time about life, about everything, and then after his mother passed it brought us a lot closer because I had gone through the loss of a parent as well, and so being that crutch for each other, I guess led to something more and it's like being with your best friend."

Though Jordyn shows that taking the slow and steady route has its benefits when it comes to dating and vetting men for a position in your life, she is also giving us the real tea in her actions. Part of leveling up is surrounding yourself around people, places, and things that align with your values and goals so that you not only eliminate sabotage and distraction, but you can receive the support you deserve too.

This comes down to any relationship that you have in your life, heavy on the romantic ones, becoming a prerequisite of sorts. Jordyn explains:

"It's cool to have a partner that supports you and wants you to be the best version of you and wants you to be a businesswoman. A lot of people in the world don't want to see you succeed, and to have someone in your corner that wants to see you succeed is pretty awesome."

We love to see it! And we are taking notes.

Generation To Generation: Courtney Adeleye On Black Hair, Healing, And Choice

This article is in partnership with Target.

For many Black women, getting a relaxer was a rite of passage, an inheritance passed down from the generation before us, and perhaps even before her. It marked the transition from Black girlhood to adolescence. Tight coils, twisted plaits, and the clickety-clack of barrettes were traded for chemical perms and the familiar sting of scalp burns.

They say you can’t heal in the same place that made you sick. And I couldn’t.

What Loving Yourself Actually Looks Like

Whitney said it, right? She told us that if we simply learned to love ourselves, what would ultimately happen is, we would achieve the "Greatest Love of All." But y'all, the more time I spend on this planet, the more I come to see that one of the reasons why it's so hard to hit the mark, when it comes to all things love-related, is because you first have to define love in order to know how to do it…right and well.

Personally, I am a Bible follower, so The Love Chapter is certainly a great reference point. Let's go with the Message Version of it today:
