Ibiza is an island located in the Mediterranean Sea off the coast of Spain's mainland. It is home to roughly 50 beaches that are made of white sand and crystal blue waters. Its location makes it the perfect getaway for those who enjoy warm weather and scenic views. It's walkable, but there is also public transportation as well as ferries that go to the smaller islands.

According to Ibiza Spotlight, the best time to go is May-October.

Attractions

Known as the 'White Isle,' Ibiza has many attractions for couples, families, friends, and solo travelers alike. There's water activities like boating and kayaking and exploring secret coves. Travelers can also go hiking along the coast or countryside and there are several markets that features work from local artisans. Another favorite activity amongst vacationers is watching the sunset.

Nightlife

Ibiza is known as a party island. There are countless beach clubs and superclubs, which are massive clubs that have a high capacity and are high profile. Some of the popular ones are Pacha, Amnesia, and Privilege, which was once the world's largest nightclub.

BBC reported on the island's club culture dating it back to the 1970s when Pacha opened. The iconic nightclub is credited with turning the island into the world's top destination for nightlife.

Relaxation

While the Spanish island boasts its nightlife, it is also a great destination for those looking for some R&R. Besides the pristine beaches that make it easy to relax, Ibiza is known for its wellness retreats that focus on yoga and other spiritual practices. The island also has luxurious spas with saunas, steam rooms, and offer various treatments like cryotherapy and IV drips.

Food

The Mediterranean island has nothing short of good food. There food is known to be fresh and organic and travelers can choose from farm-to-table to Michelin star experiences. Spanish cooking is popular, but there are a variety of restaurants to cater to your taste like sushi and perfectly paired wines.

Last year, when our xoNecole team dropped our inaugural It Girl 100 honoree list, the world felt, ahem, a bit brighter.

It was March 2024, and we still had a Black woman as the Vice President of the United States. DEI rollbacks weren’t being tossed around like confetti. And more than 300,000 Black women were still gainfully employed in the workforce.

Though that was just nineteen months ago, things were different. Perhaps the world then felt more receptive to our light as Black women.

At the time, we launched It Girl 100 to spotlight the huge motion we were making as dope, GenZennial Black women leaving our mark on culture. The girls were on the rise, flourishing, drinking their water, minding their business, leading companies, and learning to do it all softly, in rest. We wanted to celebrate that momentum—because we love that for us.

One thing that will never go out of style is the pride Black women take in showcasing and adorning our crowns. From sculpting braids to sleek bobs and curls for days, the girls are always playing with texture, color, and undeniable creativity—switching up our hairstyles like we do our moods. This season, hair is less about what's trending and more about expression. We're experimenting, evolving, and embodying every version of ourselves.
