This Energizing Beauty Routine Keeps Saweetie's Skin Icy AF All Damn Year

Soon, winter will come to an end and it will be time to switch up our skincare routines yet again. Spring is coming, my good sisters, but Saweetie just stopped by Vogue to fill us in on a few beauty secrets that will have your skin icy AF year-round.

In the video, the 26-year-old "My Type" rapper explained that because puberty hit her early, her skincare journey began before she even started middle school. She explained:

"When I was like in fifth grade, I had a really bad puberty outbreak. I was living with my dad; men don't really know what to do with skincare, so my dad would just tell me to get, like, a hot rag and put it on my face."

While her father's misinformed beauty tips may have been doing more harm than good, Saweetie said that after discovering her daughter's skincare woes, her mother was quick to put her on game.

"And so then when I went to go visit my mom, she was horrified and was like, what's going on with your skin? And immediately put me on to like skincare products. I don't know what they were but my face, you know, cleared up immediately. It kind of goes with that saying, you know, if you know better you do better. But since I didn't know I was washing my face with hot rags and like body soap."

Now that Saweetie is on her know better, do better shit, there are a few secrets of her own that she keeps tucked away in her beauty arsenal, one of which is perfect for women with problematic pores. She explained that after washing with her cleanser and applying her Tatcha Violet-C Radiance Mask, she always rinses with cold water to minimize breakouts:

"Make sure you rinse, especially for my girls with big pores, with cold water, you do not want to leave your pores open for the makeup to seep in because that creates pimples. So make sure you wash with cold water."
