Have you been met with miscommunication, unexpected travel delays, issues with technology, unaccounted-for events - or a general feeling of being overwhelmed lately? Blame it on the retrograde. Mercury retrograde was back in full effect as of mid-November and wreaked the most havoc in the signs Pisces, Sagittarius, Gemini, and Virgo.

Luckily for us, the third and final Mercury retrograde of this year is on its way out as of December 6th, and with its exit, it makes room for the positive vibes from the lovely planet Jupiter to enter. Jupiter will be in its own sign of Sagittarius for the first time in 12 years and it will be influencing all of us in very good ways. Most of us will be ending the year with a bang and setting ourselves up for success in the year to come. Thus, the theme of the month is clarity.

Capricorn

Flux and flow is key this month, Capricorn. There is much more momentum this month; especially when it comes to getting back on track with education or learning new skills.

Preparedness is your friend. And it is no different in December. Among all of the signs you were the most prepared to deal with the holding pattern that came with Mercury going retrograde last month. But you are not immune to the influences of Mercury's wishy-washy-ness during retrograde periods. The feelings during late November of not knowing how you will secure your future will clear up starting December 6th and you will be back to your confident demeanor and feeling very good about all the long-range plans you have made.

But with Jupiter in the 12th house, you must learn to temper your ego and engage the beginner's mind in order to truly grasp all that lays ahead for you. For you, this simply may mean starting from point A instead of immediately finding a way to get to point D. These are issues that are going to be hidden from you and only your closest friends and family will tell you the truth about your behavior. You will feel some anxiety of not feeling as sure-footed at the beginning of December. But by December 12th, if you have done your psychological homework, you will begin to see the light and everything will fall naturally in place.

I know that 2018 and especially the last half of the year was hard for you, my dear, with everyone seeming to come out of the woodwork asking for favors. You can rest your mind though because, starting in December and going into 2019, you will feel back to your normal self and be much more discerning about where your energies go.

In relationships, Venus in Scorpio in your 11th house of friendships may have created a little bit of wariness with friendship in the past month. This is especially true with a partner who may have been stuck in the "friend zone." But with the readjustment coming in December, you will be crystal clear on whether that special friend will turn into a romantic relationship or stay in the "friend zone."

You are feeling pretty good about staying assertive in your long-range goals at the moments. If you have to work as a group towards a common goal, you will become the gears to make sure everything keeps going and running smoothly.

For many Black women, getting a relaxer was a rite of passage, an inheritance passed down from the generation before us, and perhaps even before her. It marked the transition from Black girlhood to adolescence. Tight coils, twisted plaits, and the clickety-clack of barrettes were traded for chemical perms and the familiar sting of scalp burns.

A 5-Year Healing Journey Taught Me How To Choose Myself

They say you can’t heal in the same place that made you sick. And I couldn’t.

The year was 2019, and I knew I had to go. My spirit was calling me to be alone and to go alone. It was required in that season. A few months prior, I had quit my job. And it was late 2017 when I had met trauma.

What Loving Yourself Actually Looks Like

Whitney said it, right? She told us that if we simply learned to love ourselves, what would ultimately happen is, we would achieve the "Greatest Love of All." But y'all, the more time I spend on this planet, the more I come to see that one of the reasons why it's so hard to hit the mark, when it comes to all things love-related, is because you first have to define love in order to know how to do it…right and well.

Personally, I am a Bible follower, so The Love Chapter is certainly a great reference point. Let's go with the Message Version of it today:
