Have you been met with miscommunication, unexpected travel delays, issues with technology, unaccounted-for events - or a general feeling of being overwhelmed lately? Blame it on the retrograde. Mercury retrograde was back in full effect as of mid-November and wreaked the most havoc in the signs Pisces, Sagittarius, Gemini, and Virgo.

Luckily for us, the third and final Mercury retrograde of this year is on its way out as of December 6th, and with its exit, it makes room for the positive vibes from the lovely planet Jupiter to enter. Jupiter will be in its own sign of Sagittarius for the first time in 12 years and it will be influencing all of us in very good ways. Most of us will be ending the year with a bang and setting ourselves up for success in the year to come. Thus, the theme of the month is clarity.

The big theme for December, my fellow Libra, is on decision-making. I know, I know…Libras are traditionally known to have a hard time with decisions. But hear me out. The Jupiter party through friendly Sagittarius will create a lot more opportunities for growth. For Libra, this combo of Mercury and Jupiter in the 3rd house will have your head spinning on so many opportunities that you don't know where to even begin. Giving your decision-making skills a run for your money as all of the ideas run through your mind. But as December 6th comes along, you will find that the planets will transition out of such wishy-washy indecisiveness and things will become much more clear for you. You may have thought of plans in November and wondered if you could ever grasp hold of ever getting any of them off the ground. Starting in mid-December though, you will be faced with a very clear-cut decision from an outside influence. You will re-evaluate your life big time, and although you will have some anxiety with this, the decision you make will be clear and concise, making you very optimistic about your future.

Physically, Mars's influence going through your 6th house may create a heavy emphasis on getting back into an energetic and productive lifestyle. With Venus making a positive aspect to Mars, you are very likely to be triggered into physical passion. If not on a romantic scale, then in other ways to channel the energy such as training for a goal involving your health and physique.

As for career, creative work will get an extra boost from Jupiter this month. With Mars in the 6th house, this is a favorable time to become assertive with your work. If you are in sales, you will find your tactics on marketing and pitching ideas will become more powerful.

With Venus in the second house of finances and triggered harmoniously by Mars, you may be making smart purchases in December, which may help catapult your career, i.e. purchasing a budgeting app for your business. But it also signals a little bit of some fun shopping too! Go ahead…get that purse you've been eyeing!

For many Black women, getting a relaxer was a rite of passage, an inheritance passed down from the generation before us, and perhaps even before her. It marked the transition from Black girlhood to adolescence. Tight coils, twisted plaits, and the clickety-clack of barrettes were traded for chemical perms and the familiar sting of scalp burns.

A 5-Year Healing Journey Taught Me How To Choose Myself

They say you can’t heal in the same place that made you sick. And I couldn’t.

The year was 2019, and I knew I had to go. My spirit was calling me to be alone and to go alone. It was required in that season. A few months prior, I had quit my job. And it was late 2017 when I had met trauma.

What Loving Yourself Actually Looks Like

Whitney said it, right? She told us that if we simply learned to love ourselves, what would ultimately happen is, we would achieve the "Greatest Love of All." But y'all, the more time I spend on this planet, the more I come to see that one of the reasons why it's so hard to hit the mark, when it comes to all things love-related, is because you first have to define love in order to know how to do it…right and well.

Personally, I am a Bible follower, so The Love Chapter is certainly a great reference point. Let's go with the Message Version of it today:
