Over the years, we've talked a lot about Megan Thee Stallion's knees (cartilage, where?), but someone's knees we don't talk about nearly enough is Ciara's. The 39-year-old mother-of-four is on the heels of her most recent album release, CiCi, and with every visual or TikTok dance trend, the R&B phenom continues to make choreo look as effortless as she did 20 years ago.

Her signature moves often blend gravity-defying backbends, intricate footwork, and dropping it low while twerking in a variation of styles. So what's the key to keeping Ciara's knees strong enough to keep up as she approaches her 40s? In a recent PopSugar story, Ciara says it's less about her body being tea and more about consistency.

Ciara revealed to PopSugar, that the key to "Ciara's knees" is really all about the core. She admitted that it's something she is still putting the work into. After four pregnancies and navigating diastasis recti, Ciara looks at her commitment to her body with love as she is rebuilding. "My core, I'm still building. Because after you have four babies, there's a lot of restructuring that happens to your body. It's inevitable," she said.

Throughout the years, her workouts have varied between weightlifting, boxing, and cardio. She also loves her squats, which are a must to keep her core and legs strong enough for her to get low but also to get up (see the video above). But for Ciara, it isn't just about the workouts, it's about how she fuels her body before a session in the gym even begins. That's where her newest fitness obsession comes into play: creatine.

"I first heard about it back in the day, which was like, it's for muscle building and specifically for that and if you want to get jacked, that's what you do," she told PopSugar. These days, the self-described "ultimate athlete" takes creatine from the brand Thorne twice a day in her apple juice to boost her energy and cognitive function, "two things that I need the most help with in my world," she shared.

Ciara told the publication she adores Thorne's line overall, making partnering with them as a brand ambassador a natural fit for the eternal Princess of Crunk.

A 5-Year Healing Journey Taught Me How To Choose Myself

They say you can’t heal in the same place that made you sick. And I couldn’t.

The year was 2019, and I knew I had to go. My spirit was calling me to be alone and to go alone. It was required in that season. A few months prior, I had quit my job. And it was late 2017 when I had met trauma.

Sergio Hudson On Designing With Intention And Who Gets Left Out Of The Industry

Sergio Hudson dreamt big as a young South Carolina boy staring out of the window of his mom’s Volvo driving down the Ridgeway, South Carolina streets. Those dreams led him to design opulent tailoring that’s been worn by Beyoncé, Queen Latifah, former Vice President Kamala Harris and Forever First Lady Michelle Obama, just to name a few.

Those dreams have come full circle in a new way as he recently collaborated with Volvo for a mini capsule collection suitable for chic and stylish moments this fall. The 40-year-old designer follows a long legacy of fashion aficionados who’ve used their innovation to push the automotive industry forward, including Virgil Abloh, Eddie Bauer, Paul Smith and Jeremy Scott.

What Loving Yourself Actually Looks Like

Whitney said it, right? She told us that if we simply learned to love ourselves, what would ultimately happen is, we would achieve the "Greatest Love of All." But y'all, the more time I spend on this planet, the more I come to see that one of the reasons why it's so hard to hit the mark, when it comes to all things love-related, is because you first have to define love in order to know how to do it…right and well.

Personally, I am a Bible follower, so The Love Chapter is certainly a great reference point. Let's go with the Message Version of it today:
