Big Sean Says He Will Be Taking ‘Paternity Leave’ Once Baby With Jhené Aiko Is Born

Big Sean is taking his role as a budding father seriously. The “Detriot” rapper is welcoming his first child with singer Jhené Aiko and he was recently stopped by TMZ and asked about taking paternity leave.

While paternity leave in comparison to maternity leave is not much talked about in American society, the New York Timesreported that 90% of men take off work after the birth of their child. However, most men take less than 10 days off and one reason for it can be attributed to companies not offering paid paternity leave.

While speaking with TMZ, Big Sean shared that he planned to step away from music for some time to spend time with his child. “Well, I’m definitely taking some time for it to just be us,” he said.

“You can’t really put a time limit on it. You gotta feel it out,” he added. “Shoutout to all the mothers and dads doing it.”

Sean and Jhené have a long history. The couple became friends in 2012 and even had their first date that year. However, the “Sativa” singer shut down rumors of them dating and we witnessed them both enter other relationships in the years that followed. They reportedly gave their love another shot in August 2016 but broke up in March 2019. However, they rekindled their romance and have been together ever since.

During their Oct 2022 concert, the couple and music collaborators revealed that they were expecting a baby boy and recently shared photos from their baby shower.

I’m pretty sure that I’m basically being redundant when I say that I write about sex quite a bit which means that I spend quite a bit of time doing research when it comes to sex-related intel, tips, and hacks. Yet I have to say that when it comes to getting some much-needed information in the realm of coitus, it’s been my clients (along with random interviews that I do with people because I don’t mind talking to complete strangers about intimate ish) who have garnered me some of the best takeaways.
