Niecy Nash has had a very adventurous start to the 2021 year. After breaking the internet last year when it was revealed that she was newly married to wife Jessica Betts, who was the wedding singer at her previous wedding to husband, Jay Tucker, she stepped in to take on hosting duties for The Masked Singer (due to host, Nick Cannon contracting COVID).

And as busy as she is, she's managing to do it all on a broken foot.

All right then, sis!

Needless to say, this day-brightening actress is balancing quite a heavy plate, which she discussed while recently visiting The Ellen DeGeneres Show. And sis was dropping tea and gems while there, as she went into detail about all of what she's been up—from work, to her 51st birthday trip to Mexico with the fam.

When Ellen began to touch on her “coming out" story, Niecy explained further:

“I lovingly call [my wife] my 'hersband.' But a lot of people say like, 'oh, you came out' and I say came from out of where? You know what I mean? I wasn't anywhere to come out of. I wasn't living a sexually repressed life when I was married to men, I just loved them when I loved them. And now I love her."

Ellen agrees and says she understands where she's coming from, which Niecy continues:

“Some people are like, 'I don't get it.' My daughter told me 'mom you got to know how you identify' and I said, oh I do? And we watched this whole thing about...— and there were a thousand different things you could call yourself and I was more confused than ever."

This isn't the first time Nash has been preaching the I-love-who-I-love gospel. Since remarrying, she has told anyone who would listen, and she's OK with losing fans who have negative reactions to her marriage.

“Who/how I love has nothing to do with my art. I'm still a skilled, Emmy-nominated, award-winning actress."

Whew. *insert poetry snaps right tf here*

As Cuffing Season Steadily Approaches, What The Heck Is 'Winter Coating'?

Y’all, I ain’t got not one lie to tell you. With the way that this summer has gone in my world (check out “I've Been Estranged From My Mom For Years. She Died Last Week.” and “I Was Hired To Be An Online Life Coach. Then Got Scammed For $4K. Here's How To Avoid This.”), I am not surprised in the least that it caught me off guard that, once again, we are officially in the drafting portion of yet another cuffing season.

What I will say threw me a bit is that there are actual dating trends in cuffing (did y’all know that?), and one of them happens to be something called “winter coating.”
