One thing about me is that I love to be dolled up: hair done, face done, everything did. Beauty is more than just makeup or hair to me, it's how I express creativity on the daily. To be honest though, my makeup game can definitely use an upgrade. I don't need anything too extravagant but I want to get better with my contour and eyeshadow skills, you feel me? I've been doing my makeup the same way for a minute now and it's time to switch things up and learn some new tricks. With entering a new season, it's the best time to try something new. There are a bunch of girls on IG giving us lewks and the tea on how to achieve the ourselves (shoutout to y'all).

So, whether you're getting ready for work, date night, or a girls night out, I encourage you to try something new or add a little extra touches of fall to your look. Don't worry, I'm going to set you up with everything you need. Thanks to apps like Instagram, all the inspiration is literally at our fingertips.

Here are 10 looks that will have you slaying this season.

1.Bronzed With A Pop of Color

I love that Makeup Shayla incorporated a lot of warm brown and nude tones to this look and to add extra pop, she added a pop of color to her inner corner highlight. SB: This is the level of contour I aspire to have.

2.Goldie

Taylor Anise killed this. It was a very simple face beat, but she made the statement with her bold red lip and her goldie eyelids. So if you're not for the contour and extra stuff, this is a nice creative alternative to spicing things up.

3.Warm Glowy Lewks

I honestly feel like Ronke is always fall-ready and tends to have natural elements in her makeup looks. The natural warm and darker hues with highlights seems to be her thing and she slays it very well.

4.Neon Green Lewks

Summer may be over, but this neon green trend is here to stay. Alissa Ashley is rockin' a neon green eyeliner with green eye gems to spice things up.

5.Glitter

I haven't perfected the cut crease yet but this is definitely a look I want to try for date night or a girls' night out. YouTuber Forever Aylssa is wearing a mix of purple eyeshadows and a subtle pop of glitter to bring this look to the next level. Glitter is an easy way to follow the trends of the season. With Christmas sneaking up on us, the shiny glitz and glam is a must this season!

6.Dark Colors

Don't be afraid to play with darker hues. I love makeup looks that incorporate dark colors like burgundy, brown, and black. This Japan-based content creator really killed this burgundy makeup look.

7.Smokey Eyes

A smokey eye is always a good idea. I love this dark green smokey with the brown underbrow detail. The colors blend really well together and is another simple way to bring a basic look into a fully glam look.

8.Keep It All The Way Natural

Aaliyah Jay looks stunning with this simple look! A completely natural look is my go-to. Just make sure your brows and lashes are on point and keep everything real simple.

9.Colorful Waterline

This is another summer favorite that's creepin' its way into fall and winter. Adding bold yet subtle details like a color into your waterline is definitely something you should try.

10. Fire Reds

This look is literally fire. The red and glitter blend is not only great for a holiday party but you'd definitely be serving some seductive looks with this eye makeup.

A 5-Year Healing Journey Taught Me How To Choose Myself

They say you can’t heal in the same place that made you sick. And I couldn’t.

The year was 2019, and I knew I had to go. My spirit was calling me to be alone and to go alone. It was required in that season. A few months prior, I had quit my job. And it was late 2017 when I had met trauma.

Sergio Hudson On Designing With Intention And Who Gets Left Out Of The Industry

Sergio Hudson dreamt big as a young South Carolina boy staring out of the window of his mom’s Volvo driving down the Ridgeway, South Carolina streets. Those dreams led him to design opulent tailoring that’s been worn by Beyoncé, Queen Latifah, former Vice President Kamala Harris and Forever First Lady Michelle Obama, just to name a few.

Those dreams have come full circle in a new way as he recently collaborated with Volvo for a mini capsule collection suitable for chic and stylish moments this fall. The 40-year-old designer follows a long legacy of fashion aficionados who’ve used their innovation to push the automotive industry forward, including Virgil Abloh, Eddie Bauer, Paul Smith and Jeremy Scott.

What Loving Yourself Actually Looks Like

Whitney said it, right? She told us that if we simply learned to love ourselves, what would ultimately happen is, we would achieve the "Greatest Love of All." But y'all, the more time I spend on this planet, the more I come to see that one of the reasons why it's so hard to hit the mark, when it comes to all things love-related, is because you first have to define love in order to know how to do it…right and well.

Personally, I am a Bible follower, so The Love Chapter is certainly a great reference point. Let's go with the Message Version of it today:
