Cynthia Bailey is not letting age define who she is and how she lives her life. At 56, the model is in what she calls her “third act” and is embracing every moment. After walking away from being a full-time peach holder on the Real Housewives of Atlanta (RHOA) and finalizing her divorce from Mike Hill, the Seagram’s Escapes ambassador is ready for what’s next. Following the success of her first Seagram’s Escapes flavor, Peach Bellini, Cynthia co-created her second flavor, Berry Mimosa, and although she made a few appearances on the recent season of RHOA, the mother of one said she’s focused on other things.

In an exclusive interview with xoNecole, Cynthia “Cheekbones” Bailey is dishing on this exciting time in her life and being an example that there’s life after 50.

“I have transitioned from reality star to an actress, and I’m so excited about this time in my life, I’m calling this time in my life the third act. The first act was Cynthia the model, the second act was Cynthia the reality star, and now we have the third act, Cynthia the actress, and it’s exciting for me,” she beamed.

“I feel like God is truly moving my steps, and what I love about this part in my life is I’m really starting all over professionally and personally. I’m starting over in my dating life, I’m starting over in my career, and I think that it’s important to show women, especially women of a certain age, that you don’t have to live in a place of fear. The only thing you need to focus on is what is filling you up and, what your purpose is, and not being afraid to walk toward it, no matter how old you are.

She continued, “I don’t think you’re ever too old to start over. I don’t think you’re ever too old to reinvent yourself. I don’t think you’re ever too old to have peace. I don’t think you’re ever too old to have happiness, and I’m not going to settle for anything less than.”

Cynthia has been featured in TV shows like Games People Play and movies like Under His Influence and Cruel Instruction. She also still models, with her recent shoot for Harper’s Bazaar Serbia gagging the internet. Aside from her bustling career, Cynthia also prioritizes time for herself to gain mental clarity and recharge. Once a week, she takes a “mental wellness day,” where she will get a massage, manicure, and pedicure or just chill at her home, which has adorningly been nicknamed Lake Bailey.

“I don’t think you’re ever too old to start over. I don’t think you’re ever too old to reinvent yourself. I don’t think you’re ever too old to have peace. I don’t think you’re ever too old to have happiness, and I’m not going to settle for anything less than.”

From where we stand, Cynthia’s third act is mushrooming beautifully, just like every stage of her life that we’ve witnessed. The former Celebrity Big Brother contestant has always been a class act, but she also wants to show other women that you can be your best self and achieve the life you want no matter the circumstances.

“I want to be that woman that represents life. Living my best life, celebrating life, living life to the fullest at any age. That’s who I want to be, and that’s what I want to represent to the world,” she said. “So, with that said, cheers to all the women out there who are not afraid to live and who are not afraid to walk toward their purpose and who refuse to live their life in fear.”

Birds Of A Feather: How Friends Shape Your Life More Than You Think

While recently talking to a female client of mine about how to know if she’s setting healthy boundaries with unhealthy people (I’ll be touching on that topic, as it specifically relates to friendships, soon), she mentioned a person, in particular, who has kinda-sorta faded out of her life as of late. It was interesting to hear her articulate her own emotional cul-de-sac about it all because, while on one hand, she professed to not care, on the other, she wondered if she should reach out.
