Married Couples: These 6 DIY Recipes Will Take Your Sex Life To The Next Level

Sex

It seems like not a day goes by when I don't read an article, a tweet, something about how marriage is becoming obsolete or singles (mostly single men) are scared to get married because they think it will tank their sex life.

Meanwhile, there are countless articles supporting that married sex is the best sex around (if you're in a healthy and happy relationship, that is). As a marriage life coach, I can personally vouch for that. Married folks are some of the FREAKIEST PEOPLE I know. (I mean, nast-ay!)

In honor of those who love their spouse and having sex with them as much as possible, I wanted to provide some DIY recipes that will help to keep things H-O-T in the bedroom (or wherever y'all do-the-do). These are inexpensive, easy to make, and perfect as Christmas stocking stuffers, romantic staycations or simply a way to try something new tonight:

1.Edible Honey-Vanilla Massage Oil.

Recipe:

1/2 Cup of Food Grade Vegetable Glycerin

1/2 Teaspoon of Raw Honey

1/2 Teaspoon of Vanilla Extract

Aside from a massage being one of the most effective ways to touch on all of your partner's erogenous zones during foreplay, it has a ton of health benefits too. For starters, massages relieve stress, increase blood circulation, soothe sore muscles and joints, remove toxins and improve one's quality of sleep.

If you want to surprise your spouse with a massage, all you need to do is mix all of these ingredients together with a whisk and put them in a plastic bottle (the kind that you can put in the microwave); one that comes with the kind of lid that you can squeeze the contents out of.

Whenever you're ready to use it (there's no real need to refrigerate this by the way; honey never goes bad), pop the bottle in the microwave for 5-7 seconds and you're good to go!

Micro trends make the world go around. Just kidding, but they are really fun and add a certain je ne sais quoi to one's wardrobe. As the seasons change, there's a short-lived fashion cycle of certain clothing and accessory trends that have a sudden boom in popularity which last at least 1-2 years. Thanks to the invention of fast fashion, in most cases, these seasonal items are loved by the masses just to be thrown to the back of our closets within the next few months.

When it comes to growing and strengthening natural hair, a dynamic duo of products and a healthy routine are necessary. It's unrealistic to think you can do one without the other and expect strong, healthy, and vivacious curls and coils. If you're wondering why your hair is damaged or in a stagnant phase, you may need to take a look at your routine and make sure your hair is getting the care it truly needs.

Something that I try to mention, as much as possible, especially when it comes to married and long-term couples is, if you want to go the distance, it's not just the "big things" that you've got to stay up on; it's the little things too. Something as simple as you being a morning person while your partner is a night owl can affect everything from quality of sleep to quality time to your sex life. That's why, when it comes to couples who have different sleep patterns who still want to have a fulfilling sexual dynamic, I'm all about encouraging them to do what is at the foundation for all successful relationships — compromise. Sometimes that means that an alarm clock needs to be set or someone needs to initiate some, umm, stuff (more on that in a bit) in order to get the juices flowing (pun intended and not intended).
