There's this meme that's been making its way around social media for a while now that reads: "If it costs you your peace, it's not worth it."

The fact that this quote has been posted, reposted, and shared countless times proves how much its relevance resonates. But it almost runs the risk of coming across as a prerequisite when we're thinking about taking on a new project, job, or relationship.

If it messes with your peace, don't do it. Simple, right? But what about those situations that you're already in?

It's not always easy to say goodbye to an unhealthy environment. So in the meantime, the least we can do is keep our peace to make sure we don't go loca. There's no reason to feel like we can't get anything out of life until we're out of this situation. Here's how to master peace in an unpeaceful environment:

Keep Calm And… Keep Calm

Remember that episode of Family Matters when Carl Winslow was like, "3-2-1, 1-2-3, what the heck is bothering me?" in attempt to calm himself down?

That scene was clearly a classic and as hilarious as it was, at least he was equipped with some type of mechanism to stay calm. One of the main ways to keep your inner peace on 10, is to be intentional about staying calm and keeping your cool within. You don't have to drive yourself crazy by thinking of and preparing for possible worst-case scenarios.

Just start your day by telling yourself that whatever happens, you're not going to let it mess up your peace. Even in those moments when you feel like going off, staying true to your affirmations will help you feel better, even in the most toxic situations. The important thing is that you maintain your peace in any environment. Keep calm, keep your peace, and don't let anybody kill your vibe.

Making Love. Having Sex. Hooking Up. What's The Real Difference?

Sometimes I get asked the same question, often enough, that I’m like, “It’s time to address this on a larger platform,” — and for, whatever the reason, as of late, folks have been asking me what different sex acts mean.

No, not from the perspective of positions or techniques. What they’ve basically wanted to know is if making love, having sex, and f-cking are simply different words to describe the same thing or if there truly is something deeper with each one.
