In my opinion, nothing is more irritating than looking for some nude lingerie and seeing nothing in your shade. Bras, panties, hosiery, you name it. I know I'm not the only one who's looked at the selections at some of the most popular department stores, and have quietly asked under my breath, "Nude to WHO?"

Beautiful brown skin deserves to have lingerie, too.

With the growing number of Black-owned and women-owned businesses, there are more opportunities than ever working to redefine and reshape the narrative of what "nude" is in the fashion and beauty industry. We as Black girls want flesh-toned undergarments too, and if you need some help with where to shop, I've got five brands you should check out ASAP.

Nude Barre

Take it personally from me, this brand's tights are the bomb! Truly made to be "nude," they also have seamless thongs that come in 12 different shades. The backstory is also encouraging — the founder of Nude Barre spent years and years doing ballet and not finding tights that matched her skin tone. So, she made them. I mean, Black girl magic is alive and well.

In fact, did you know that break-ups are so popular during the holiday season that December 11 is deemed Break-Up Day?

The reasons why relationships shift around this time vary; however, I did both roll my eyes and chuckle when I read that a very popular one is because it’s an easy way to get out of getting one’s significant other a Christmas present. SMDH.

This Experience Curator Details How To Host Guests For The Holidays

In many cultures, going to grandma's house for the holidays has always been the thing to do. But as we get older, things change. We move to new cities, start our own families, and our grandparents may no longer be around, so our homes may now be the holiday destination for extended family.

However, playing host can be a hassle, especially during the holidays when your home becomes your family and friends’ home for a short period. And if this is your first year hosting the holidays at your place, you can be in for a rude awakening if you don’t make the necessary preparations beforehand.
