Kelly Rowland has been shutting down the Cannes Film Festival red carpet with her beauty and jaw-dropping dresses. However, on Tuesday, she unfortunately found herself in an unpleasant situation with a security guard. As she was walking the red carpet for the Marcello Mio premiere on the Palais des Festivals staircase, she was seen being rushed off the carpet by a security guard who also said something to the singer, which led to the confrontation. The clip went viral and had everyone ready to ride for the child of destiny.

Now, the "Coffee" singer is speaking out following the incident. On Thursday, during her amfAR Cannes Gala red carpet appearance, she held back tears as she explained what went down while talking to the Associated Press.

"The woman knows what happened. I know what happened," she said. "I have a boundary, and I stand by those boundaries, and that is it."

She continued, "And there were other women that attended that carpet who did not quite look like me, and they didn’t get scolded or pushed off or told to get off. I stood my ground, and she felt like she had to stand hers, but I stood my ground."

IKTR! Kelly's incident with the security guard is a lesson that no matter what, as Black women, it is important to stand up for ourselves even in the face of adversity. The mother of two continued her Cannes tour, giving us look after look, and fans have been eating it up.

Following the Marcello Mio premiere, Kelly also attended the Le Comte De Monte-Cristo premiere and the amfAR Cannes Gala. Check out the looks below.

For many Black women, getting a relaxer was a rite of passage, an inheritance passed down from the generation before us, and perhaps even before her. It marked the transition from Black girlhood to adolescence. Tight coils, twisted plaits, and the clickety-clack of barrettes were traded for chemical perms and the familiar sting of scalp burns.

Why A Solo Trip To Aruba Was The Nervous System Reset I Needed This Winter

Christmas has always been my favorite holiday. I host every year, from intimate dinner parties to holiday movie nights and even bigger holiday parties for my business. I’m also always the person who encourages others this time of year who are navigating grief, but this year I found myself holding more than I could carry.

2025 was a beautiful year, one marked by growth, travel, and wins I worked hard for, but it also carried profound grief. The day before Thanksgiving, my godfather, who helped raise me and had been a second father to me my entire life, passed away. On the day of his funeral, my grandfather was admitted to the hospital as he began treatment.

Love Fresh Flowers? Here Are Tips To Make Them Last Longer

Something that I used to start my weekend off with (that I need to get back to doing) was picking up some fresh flowers to either put in my living room or bedroom. They're not just pretty and uber feminine; flowers in your home can relieve stress, improve your mood, and (get this) even improve your memory over time. In fact, the only downside that I can see is how quickly they die after getting them.
