Viola Davis is queen of utilizing extreme methods to be the best at what she does in her professional life. In her latest movie, the Ma Rainey's Black Bottom actress went as far as to gain almost 70 pounds, and wore a fat suit, in order to portray the late blues singer as accurately as possible.

Her personal life is no different, as she is teaching us that there are levels of this deeply-connected, soul-intimacy, shit. Recently, Davis revealed that her and her husband take baths together every single day.

She told PEOPLE (The TV Show!):

"We have together time every single morning when we get in the jacuzzi and we have together time every night 'cause we get in the tub together. And we soak in the tub and we talk. Sometimes he falls asleep with his mouth open! I give him facials. And we just chat, chat, chat, and he's just really sweet. Every single day we do that."

*Lord, I see what you have done for others...*

And it turns out, much like Ciara, Cassie, and Nicole Ari Parker, we need to be asking Auntie Viola what her prayer for her husband was too. She told Page Six:

"I was the loneliest woman in the world, and someone said, 'You should just pray for a husband."

She ended up taking her friend's advice, and went to work. She asked for "a big Black man from the South who looked like a football player, who already had children, who maybe had been married before."

Three weeks later, Julius walked into her life.

Julius Tennon, an actor himself, hailed from Austin, Texas and was a standout football player at the University of Tulsa. He also went on to become the first black person to graduate from the school's theater department. And on top of it all, he has two sons from a previous relationship, just as Davis had prayed for.

According to what Julius shared on the OWN series Black Love, on meeting his wife, he overheard Viola talking to her friend about not knowing anyone and decided to walk over and give her his card. The couple tied the knot in 2003, and the rest is love story history.

Davis commemorated their 17th wedding anniversary on Instagram this year, captioning the photo:

"You have made my life sweeter and my heart bigger. I prayed for you and God said, 'Yes! I have just the right person for you!!!!' Happy Anniversary my love... The best is yet to be."

The couple renewed their vows in 2016, five years after adopting daughter, Genesis. And this is the first, or hundredth, time that Davis has beamed about her hubby. She proudly tells the story of their love, and how they continue to make it work:

"I think that, that's what people forget when they fall in love with someone and it's exciting. You have to get back to the every day – the taking the garbage out, the cooking, the cleaning – and it's something that I think really works with me and my husband."

It's the audacity of fruition for me. *poetry snaps*

Skincare Hacks That Actually Make Hyperpigmentation...Worse

Something that I wish I had learned back when I was experiencing more breakouts than I do at this point in my life is the difference between hyperpigmentation and actual acne scars. Although people oftentimes believe that they are one in the same, that actually isn’t the case.

Yes, both can result in darker marks on your skin; however, while hyperpigmentation can change the color of it, scars often also alter your skin’s texture. And yes, it’s important to know the difference between the two because, that way, you know how to treat each issue.
