Make sure to visit the John Mark Verdier House Museum, a Federal-style 1800s mansion that is now a house museum, is a great place to get the feel of Beaufort's rich past and learn about its history. Stroll through Henry C. Chambers Waterfront Park along the Beaufort River to get great views of the Woods Memorial Bridge and the boats on the river.
