Set Your Intentions This Full Moon With The Magic Of Moon Water

To start 2023 on an intentional note, make some moon water this Full Moon. The first Full Moon of the year is on January 6th, and it is the Wolf Moon of the year. This Full Moon will be in Cancer, the emotionally heightened water sign, and this is the perfect Full Moon to create moon water. Full Moons are a time of culmination, and a time of the month when one cycle comes to a close and we prepare for a new one. Where New Moons are a time of new beginnings and fresh starts, Full Moons are all about closure, healing, and letting go.

Moon water is a practice that has been passed down for generations that is a powerful spiritual tool. There are many things you can do with moon water once you have made some. You can choose to drink the moon water which is good for emotional regulation, manifestation, and healing of the body. You can also choose to take a bath with the moon water as a bath ritual and create a sacred space. Read below to see how to alchemize your energy with moon water this Full Moon.

How to Make Moon Water

Step One:

Get a glass jar or cup. You can create a designated moon water jar and decorate it with your favorite affirmations, designs, crystals, etc., or just use one of the empty jars in your cupboard. (If you don’t plan on drinking the water you can put crystals and herbs inside of the jar.)

Step Two:

Fill the jar with fresh water.

Step Three:

Hold the jar with both hands and infuse it with your positive intentions. Hold the jar and think about/visualize what you are grateful for right now, what you want to let go of, and what you want to manifest into your life. You can also write down your manifestation and place it next to the jar when laying out.

Step Four:

Place the jar of water directly under the moonlight for a night. If you live in an area where that isn’t possible, putting the jar next to your window seal is fine as well. (If you are planning to drink the moon water, putting a protective lid such as a cheesecloth or a piece of paper on top of the jar is advised.)

Step Five:

The next morning, get your moon water and you can drink it directly, boil it with tea, use it with a bath, or whatever feels right for you. Intention is everything with moon water and while you are enjoying it, make sure to think of your manifestations as well.
