Taraji P. Henson has been snatching our edges on- and off-screen for nearly two decades, but recently, the 49-year-old actress launched a business that will help us protect them.

Earlier this week, Taraji released a collection of natural haircare products that will protect TF out of any hairstyle you decide to rock in 2020, and xoNecole has all the details. TPH by Taraji P. Henson, which features 18 unique products that cost less than $15, was handcrafted with the help of Taraji herself, and the product line promises to meet all of your coil-related needs.

According to Taraji, the beauty industry has always been one that she's aligned with and would have been part of her career path. In a recent interview with People, the Empire actress explained:

"I know that if I didn't go into acting, I would have been a cosmetologist."

There is no such thing as overprotective when it comes to Black-girl haircare, and Taraji wants you to know that whether you're rocking a twist-out or Meek Mill braids underneath your bundles, she's got you covered, boo. In the interview, Taraji reminded us that a protective style won't protect sh*t if you don't maintain a healthy haircare regimen, and TPH is here to help do exactly that.

"Women think that just because you have your hair braided up under a weave or wig that you don't have to [do anything else]. But you have to take care of it."

Because Taraji is also a member of the dry-strand struggle, she knows that it can be hard to maintain your coils while staying within your budget. That's exactly why she's created products that allow you to hydrate, clean, style, and repair your hair without sacrificing product. She explained:

"I created applicators that deliver the product to your scalp. It's not compromised on your fingertips or wasted on your hair."

In the interview, Taraji also broke down her own haircare routine:

"I keep my hair braided down most of the time because I'm working. Sweat builds up from the braids and the wigs, so [every time I take the braids out] I want to make sure my hair is in the best possible condition before I braid it back down again. So Sundays [are] like a spa day. I start with my scalp scrub, and sometimes I'll use my Master Cleanse, too, so my hair is squeaky clean. I follow that up with one of my shampoos and masks, then we braid it down with my Glow Up oil so that my hair doesn't feel brittle and deprived when I take it out."

Birds Of A Feather: How Friends Shape Your Life More Than You Think

While recently talking to a female client of mine about how to know if she’s setting healthy boundaries with unhealthy people (I’ll be touching on that topic, as it specifically relates to friendships, soon), she mentioned a person, in particular, who has kinda-sorta faded out of her life as of late. It was interesting to hear her articulate her own emotional cul-de-sac about it all because, while on one hand, she professed to not care, on the other, she wondered if she should reach out.
