Saweetie is getting candid about her life in the spotlight. The “My Type” rapper has been consistently dropping music and expanding her brand as an artist since her 2017 hit single “ICY GRL.” But the downside of growing her empire is that she has little time for herself or her mental health. This year alone, Saweetie had innumerable opportunities that many artists would dream of. She partnered with McDonald’s to launch her Saweetie meal, she became an ambassador for MAC and Crocs and she hosted the 2021 MTV EMA’s.

Not to mention, she just launched a nail polish line with Sinful Colors. With such a busy schedule, the 28-year-old admitted that her mental health suffers while she chases success.

"It's like I live, sleep, eat and breathe music and business," Saweetie told People. "My team is really small, so I have to take on responsibilities that eventually somebody else will, but because my team is small, I have to help them out."

She continued, "It's just trying to find balance right now. I have no balance. Everything is just work, work, work and I don't have an outlet. I don't have a therapist. I don't hang out with any of my friends because I work so much, so it's just trying to thug it out into until the New Year."

Closing out the year, Saweetie is looking to take a much-needed vacation to relieve stress and walk into the New Year rejuvenated.

"Balance needs to happen. I feel like I'm being run down to the ground right now and my body doesn't feel good,” she said. “I've had mental breakdowns and it's just really stressful, but it's nice to be acknowledged because it lets me know that my hard work isn't going unnoticed."

When she does get some free time, she tries to meditate. In November, Saweetie stopped by her alma mater USC and spoke with a business class about meditating and how she believes it’s “better than sex.

"I'm just saying the peace you get, the clarity you get, it's really important for everyone to meditate,” she said. “And I think the reason why I was so discouraged at first, I--- because I'm thinking that you have to be in a cream[-colored] room, like yoga-ish. But I meditate everywhere."

The New Year is already looking promising for the Bay Area beauty as she snagged a Grammy nomination for her hit song “Best Friend” and fans are still anticipating her debut album.

But in the meantime, get that rest, Queen!

December is about letting go. We end the year with the need for more peace, reflection, and rejuvenation, and that is exactly what December is providing for us. The Sun is in Sagittarius, and anything is possible. This is the month to believe in that and to know that the universe is supporting you. With a Supermoon in Gemini as we begin the month as well, we have an opportunity to gain the closure we have been looking for this year and to wrap up old projects, ideas, and communication breakthroughs.

This is the month to make your peace the priority and let go of trying to control the way the tides are turning. Trust in your new beginning, and give yourself time to prepare for it this month.

Melatonin Is Linked To Serious Heart Issues. What To Know.

I already know that this one is gonna hurt a few feelings. The reason why I say that is because, if there is one thing that (many) folks are going to take if they are looking to get a good night’s rest, it’s melatonin, chile.

How do I know? Well, aside from the fact that some people in my own world are hooked on it, it’s also been reported that as many as 27 percent of Americans rely on this particular supplement to catch themselves some nightly zzz’s. That’s why, when I peeped that a particular study about melatonin was damn near viral, I decided that I absolutely needed to use my side of cyberspace to get the word out.
