Skincare Hacks That Actually Make Hyperpigmentation...Worse

Something that I wish I had learned back when I was experiencing more breakouts than I do at this point in my life is the difference between hyperpigmentation and actual acne scars. Although people oftentimes believe that they are one in the same, that actually isn’t the case.

Yes, both can result in darker marks on your skin; however, while hyperpigmentation can change the color of it, scars often also alter your skin’s texture. And yes, it’s important to know the difference between the two because, that way, you know how to treat each issue.

Is Breakfast REALLY That Big Of A Deal?

Although there are some breakfast foods that I enjoy (French toast, omelets, and salmon croquettes immediately come to mind), for the most part, I’m not really that much of a breakfast person. It’s not that I grew up that way; it’s just that, once I became an adult and I was in full control of what I ate and when, I realized that I could easily go well into brunch hours and realize that I maybe had a piece of fruit or some juice at that point, and that’s about it.

Is that a “good” thing? That’s what we’re going to unpack today, especially since I’m aware of the fact that somewhere around 25 percent of Americans are just like me (they don’t eat breakfast either) — which means that, chances are, some of you can totally relate to where I am coming from, too.

You're Over Him. Should You Wait Until After The Holidays To Say It?

When a client told me that she was seriously considering ending her relationship of 10 months before Christmas, I wasn’t surprised. That’s not a sneak diss on what she has going on with her man or anything; it’s just that I know that the holiday season (the month of December, more specifically) is a very popular time for folks to call things off. Between the pressure of bringing people around family and the urge to start off the new year with a clean slate — yeah, it makes sense.

At the same time, though, I do think that there is something to be said for ending things well — and when it comes to a break-up? During this time of the year? Before you make that official move, I just want to make sure that you’ve thought a few things through.

Do You Expect Others To Read Your Mind? Here's The Problem With That.

Omniscience. If someone were to offer you $100 right this second for the definition of that word, could you immediately provide it? If you’re not sure, basically omniscience is about being able to know everything — and to those who believe in God, only he is given that honor. For those who believe in Satan? Not even he is omniscient (as much as he would like people to think otherwise).

Sometimes, it might feel that otherwise because some beings and even people are truly masterful when it comes to reading body language, observing patterns, and picking up on cues. Still, no matter how much it might seem like someone can read someone else’s mind, they can’t. It is literally impossible — and I will briefly expound on that in just a moment.
