Chloe x Halle Share The Beauty & Self-Care Tips That "Do It" For Them

Did anyone else notice how Chloe x Halle's skin was flourishing in their latest video, "Ungodly Hour"? I mean, their flawless vocals aren't the only thing that turned heads. I couldn't help but swoon over their radiant and glowing skin. Pure. Gold.

There's clearly a reason they're the first-ever siblings to be named the faces of Neutrogena (because... duh, their skin is goals). So when they shared their secrets in a new interview with Popsugar, I shamelessly took notes.

It Starts With The Basics

Chloe Bailey, 22, and Halle Bailey, 20, credit their mom for teaching them how to take care of their skin even in their younger days. The biggest tip they learned is one that most of us are still trying to master as we face the reality of adulting daily: wash your face before bed.

Chloe confessed:

"It has taken me a very long time to grasp that concept because I usually just wash my face in the morning, but now I do it at night, too. And for that, I'm proud of myself, and I call that growth."

I do too, sis. I do too.

Tackling Acne (Black)Head On

Their skincare journey became a personal one when they started touring. Halle battled acne and realized sooner than later "these bumps just didn't want to go away."

Her secret weapon?

"Neutrogena has been my support system for a long time, especially when I was going through those challenges."

She revealed the Oil-Free Acne Wash works best for her oily skin type (and it's only $6!).

The Step That Feels Like Taking Off Your Bra

Chloe added that her passion for skincare is connected to her love for wearing makeup and needing to remove it every night.

"I love the process of doing it and getting all glam, but before I go to bed, I need to remove it really good, or else I could get little breakouts."

Her product of choice is Neutrogena's Skin Balancing Micellar Cleansing Cloths (again, only $6).

"It helps with my eyeliner, my lip stains, all of that. It just makes it so much easier to really get down to the nitty-gritty when it's time to cleanse my face."

If you're like me, washing your makeup off at the end of the day can seem like a to-do you don't have the energy or capacity for. But Halle described the relieving feeling best when she said:

"Removal is the best part. It's like taking your bra off."

Pimple-Popping Is A Satisfying Sin

Their guilty pleasures include watching pimple-popping videos, and when it comes to their popping their own, they can't always resist the satisfaction of overcoming a blemish. Halle revealed:

"I always want to squeeze my pimples, and if it's a whitehead, I end up doing it. But then I'm like, 'Oh no, I regret it.'"

Skincare = Self-Love

Skincare is just one of the ways to nourish yourself and practice self-love. Chloe says things like doing her makeup, prayer, and the ocean helps her channel her inner worth.

Halle adds that accepting herself, flaws and all is how she achieves that goal:

"Being in this industry and everything, it's a lot to deal with. But at the same time, I love taking a step back and looking at the big picture and saying, 'You know what? Maybe this thing that I'm overanalyzing about myself doesn't matter. Maybe my flaw today is something that's beautiful.' So, I'm just constantly reminding myself that my imperfections are what make me me."

Here's What To Watch On Tubi

Tubi has been gaining popularity due to its free sign-up and a vast selection of series and films. According to Deadline, the FAST (free ad-streaming television) service has seen a 14.7% growth from May and now has similar numbers to Disney+. So while many people have joked about Tubi having low-budget movies, the numbers don't lie.

In fact, I was one of those people who didn't get the appeal of Tubi, but the more I watched it, the more I enjoyed the content. They have some of our favorite TV series, such as Scandal and Star, as well as big films like the Fast and Furious franchise and cult classic Love & Basketball.
