Uranus, the planet that many astrologers refer to as "The Great Awakener", recently settled into pleasure-seeking Taurus where it will remain until 2026. Over the next several years, this erratic planet will push us out of our comfort zone in nothing less than its disruptive fashion. As much as we'd prefer for change to be smooth and easy, Uranus has other ideas in mind that often result in shake-ups within our foundation that ultimately give way for something new to be defined.

During the past seven years, the planet of chaos has spent its time in the bold, trailblazing sign that is Aries which likely resulted in some upheaval as it pertains to your personal identity and autonomy. As the first sign of the zodiac, Aries is all about the self. While Uranus was transiting through this fiery sign, there were likely some defining moments in which you were challenged to define yourself apart from the group, whether that be your family, friends, or any organization you were apart of (this includes the workplace and educational environments).

Any abrupt changes that you experienced during the transit were meant to develop your creative problem-solving skills while teaching you to be more adaptable to life and the curve balls it throws at us sometimes. While the cardinal signs (Aries, Cancer, Libra, and Capricorn) took the hardest hits over the last several years, they also experienced some of the most transformational growth as well. You can check out which planets you have in any of those signs to pinpoint which area of your life Uranus wreaked havoc in.

Up until 2026, this eccentric planet will begrudgingly move through Taurus, a very stable sign completely juxtaposing Uranus' energy, paving the way for new foundations related to the way that we earn money, what we value, and how we utilize our resources. As destabilizing as this transit can be, we are ultimately being gifted the opportunity to strip away our attachment to the status quo to embody a more liberated, authentic expression of self.

Check out how Uranus in Taurus will affect your sign below!

Aquarius & Aquarius Rising

Uranus in Taurus emphasizes changes in your home environment over the next several years. You may find yourself relocating more than usual during this transit as your values go through some major changes. This part of your chart also emphasizes family life as well which could indicate some pivotal awakenings regarding your lineage.

Ancestral healing is favored during this time as well as connecting with gifts and talents of those that paved the way before you.

If you've been wondering what your niche is, this is a good time to have those convos with your elders to get a gauge for what is already naturally embedded in your DNA. Property and real estate is also associated with this area of your life, making this an ideal transit to invest. If you've got more of a creative flair, interior and architectural design could be a good route for you as well. Taurus is a creature of comfort which supports you in creating warm, inviting spaces for others to enjoy.

Because We Are Still IT, Girl: It Girl 100 Returns

Last year, when our xoNecole team dropped our inaugural It Girl 100 honoree list, the world felt, ahem, a bit brighter.

It was March 2024, and we still had a Black woman as the Vice President of the United States. DEI rollbacks weren’t being tossed around like confetti. And more than 300,000 Black women were still gainfully employed in the workforce.

Though that was just nineteen months ago, things were different. Perhaps the world then felt more receptive to our light as Black women.

At the time, we launched It Girl 100 to spotlight the huge motion we were making as dope, GenZennial Black women leaving our mark on culture. The girls were on the rise, flourishing, drinking their water, minding their business, leading companies, and learning to do it all softly, in rest. We wanted to celebrate that momentum—because we love that for us.
