Jordyn Woods Says If You Need Motivation To Be An Entrepreneur, Don't Become One

Jordyn Woods is one of my favorite younger starlets that is emerging as her own woman. And no, not because of who she was associated with, but mostly because she has built a life that many didn't expect. She minds her business, she's bringing healthy black love to the forefront, and she's normalizing women with (natural) curves in mainstream culture. Oh, and she has a mean 'Will Smith' card in her back pocket if tf she needs to play it.

Additionally, the queen of "I don't need your situation," is redirecting her journey from influencer, to entrepreneur, which she discussed with younger sister, Jodie, in a sit down Q&A on her YouTube channel for her fans. And listen, gems were droppeth while discussing what she has up her sleeve in 2021, as sis ultimately revealed that she is declaring the year her 'year of entrepreneurship.'

"I think that now, in a a lot of people's lives, and content creators and influencers, that COVID has put into perspective that it's so important to have your own company and your own business. I see the shift in a lot more influencers switching to entrepreneurship, as they should."

And her validity came in the form of a quote she came across when reading up on Elon Musk:

"[Someone asked him] do you have any motivation for someone trying to become an entrepreneur and he said, 'if you need motivation, don't become an entrepreneur.' Simple as that."

This attitude matches the work as prior to the conversation, the two shared new goals and plans, even speaking about the multiple companies she plans to launch throughout the year in addition to the central pillar and her biggest endeavor yet, FRSTPLACE, a fitness platform that guides users through 12-week at-home or in-gym workouts. The platform includes videos and recommended rep and set schemes for each exercise and a nutrition guide to help users reach their fitness goals.

But listen, make no mistake, Woods has been preaching the ownership gospel for some time, often expressing to her 11M+ Instagram followers that they can do it too...if they have it in them. She told Forbes:

"I see a lot of people say, 'What does she even do?' All she does is take pictures for Instagram.' But five days out of the week, I'm working. I don't post my work on social media. I don't have to."

And although she can't go into very much detail at the moment, she did reveal that she would be entering the tech space.

"I think the next step that influencers are realizing is that instead of making all of these brands money, why don't you create your own brand, have some Instagram growth and expand on it?"

Mariee Revere

If the name Mariee Revere sounds familiar, it's probably because you heard of her beauty and skincare brand, MoonXCosmetics, or you may have heard about her history-making achievement of making $1.8 million in less than eight minutes. But before starting her million-dollar brand, Mariee was just a teenager trying to cure her acne.

While she grew up in the skincare capital of the world, South Korea, Mariee didn't really experience breakouts until her senior year of high school. Like many people who get their first breakout, she didn't know what to do, and there weren't many products out there at that time. So she decided to experiment. What she didn't know was that what she came up with would ultimately be her ticket to success.
