Normani Shouts Out Kelly Rowland For Being A "Motivation"

As Normani continues to make her stride as a solo artist since the disbandment of girl group Fifth Harmony, the singer has since leaned on Kelly Rowland for advice. And who better than Kelly?

As part of the iconic girl group Destiny's Child, we've witnessed Kelly carve a path for herself after constant comparisons to her best friend and bandmate Beyoncé after both artists, along with Michelle Williams, went solo following their last group album Destiny Fulfilled in 2004.

Kelly went on to reign in the R&B world with her hit song "Motivation" and internationally with "When Love Takes Over" with David Guetta. She's also mentored other artists including girl group June's Diary, and it looks like Normani is added to that list.

"Kelly Rowland is someone I've always looked up to and never felt like I couldn't go to for advice," Normani toldUSA Today.

The "Wild Side" singer also mentioned that Kelly being a fellow "chocolate" woman in the industry has also made her a big inspiration.

"She's a great person all around," said Normani.

We're not sure if this means we can expect a collab between the two artists. After releasing the sensual single "Wild Side" feat. Cardi B, along with jaw-dropping visuals and performances, Normani hasn't revealed many details about her debut album. However, the girl is working!

The singer/dancer has teamed up with T-Pain, Google, and YouTube to help Black-owned businesses. T-Pain's new single, which features the 25-year-old, is coupled with a shoppable film that showcases Black businesses, and with just one click, you can make a purchase.

In a statement to Essence, the "Dancing with a Stranger" singer said, "I was so honored to be a part of this because I've always known the importance of showing love to those who keep our communities thriving. And I couldn't have chosen a better person than T-Pain to work with on such an incredible project."

Another season of Love Is Blind has come to a close, and almost two months later we’re still unpacking the drama that is Clay and AD. The finale, reunion, and post-interviews with Clay and AD after season six of Love Is Blind left millions of people wondering - why couldn’t AD see the signs? Clay told her he had a fear of marriage, his parents experienced infidelity, and he seemed to have many doubts about saying, "I do."

After changing his mind at the altar and hearing AD question why she feels like she’s never enough, I was finished watching. I didn’t need to hear anything else because, at that moment, I realized this wasn’t about Clay; this was about AD feeling inadequate before she ever met Clay.
