As a millennial who knows a thing, or fifty, about being overworked and needing a good night's sleep, it always excites me to find a new way to indulge. Usually I'll throw a good thunderstorm to blast through my ceiling speakers when I'm desperate but now, sleep may be on the way as the voice of all voices has entered the chat and rescued us all: Mrs. Tabitha Brown.

That's right, ladies, Mrs. Tabitha Brown officially has her own sleep stories, thanks to a few executives over at Calm that understand the importance of listening to their audience.

If you're unfamiliar, Tabitha Brown shot to stardom last year, when during the pandemic, we were all looking for comfort. Thankfully, the actress, who is coming off her first NAACP Award win, was right where we needed her to be, as her vegan dish videos went viral all over the world wide web. And although her dishes were show-stealers all on their own, it was her nurturing approach and captivating catchphrases that reeled us all in as she delivered her recipes; as if they were one big giant hug. The internet took notice and immediately looked to the Calm app to put our sis on.

Ultimately, Slowing Down With Tabitha Brown Sleep Stories came into fruition, causing all of our little inner overworked souls to go apeshit. And the rest is manifestation history.

In fact, she commemorated the moment by taking to Instagram to deliver the good news:

"There are days that I wake up and can't believe my life!! Y'all!!!!!!! This is because of y'all!!! So many of you tagged @calm and requested me, my voice!! The voice I tried hard for years to hide because I thought the world didn't want to hear it!! OOHHH GOD I THANK YOU for pulling me out that hole. I'm FREE, I'm ME and I'm HERE!!! Omg!!!! So if you've ever dreamed of having me read you to sleep—here's your chance! I partnered with @Calm to read and co-author a 'Sleep Story, Slowing Down with Tabitha Brown'. I'll take you on a walk through the North Carolina forest and inspire you to find your own path."

She continued:

"So to all of you who tagged @calm asking for this, THANK YOU!!!! It's available now on @calm This is for you. I can't wait to hear what you think about it! I love y'all so much!!!! #tabithabrown #calm #sleepstories"

The news comes on the heels of a recently viral video where, in her usual form, she spoke life into us knowing that it's never too late to live your life.

I just adore her. Congratulations, Tabitha! We cannot think of anyone who deserves all of your opportunities more than you!

Beautiful passionate african american couple having a romantic candlelight dinner at home and celebrating their love together. Concept of love and relationship. Kissing and bonding. Copy space.

Hmph. Maybe it’s just me, but it seems like there is something really weird happening in the fall season air (because winter doesn’t officially begin until December 21) that cuddle season is in full swing while break-up season is as well. In fact, did you know that break-ups are so popular during the holiday season that December 11 is deemed Break-Up Day?

The reasons why relationships shift around this time vary; however, I did both roll my eyes and chuckle when I read that a very popular one is because it’s an easy way to get out of getting one’s significant other a Christmas present. SMDH.

7 'Skin Acids' That Are Actually Great For Your Hair

It’s probably been over the past 2-3 years that I’ve become hyper-focused when it comes to applying certain chemical exfoliants known as acids to my skin. Personally, I’ve come to really appreciate ones like mandelic acid and hyaluronic acid because they have a way of softening my skin, brightening it up and really evening out my complexion overall.

In fact, on my skin, they have been so effective that they have caused me to wonder what would happen if I applied some of them to my hair too — and boy, was it an experiment that paid off big time!
