Bag Secured: Get Into Fall 2020’s Most Stylish Handbags
Many of us have participated in several self-guided virtual retail therapy appointments while at home in recent months with hopes of catching the latest arrivals and best sales the internet has to offer.
Like the majority of 2020, trends have taken an interesting turn as we quickly adopted the sudden change in our everyday lifestyles. Although our lives may not be the same as they were at the beginning of the year, handbags have never left our sides. With so many intricate designs, colors, and styles to choose from, there's no doubt a girl's best friend is her latest handbag purchase.
From mini bags to oversized totes, this year's bag trends offer an all-inclusive range to fit every need.
The Oversized Tote
Telfar Global is a Black-owned unisex designer handbag destination created in 2005 in the city of New York. With a variety of sizes and an assortment of colors, this is the not-so-basic must-have bag to own this fall. Embossed with its unforgettable yet simplistic logo on the front of each bag, this bag is not the easiest to get your hands on. Available for unlimited pre-order for 24 hours only, the brand guarantees you'll get your hands on a bag in time for you to be ahead of the game come 2021 when bags are expected to ship.
The Bucket Bag
The bucket bag trend is a great staple if you're in the mood to invest in a style that can stand the test of time. Spacious enough for all your essential personal items, the bucket bag is a classic silhouette you'll get more than enough use out of, no matter the season.
Ruched Clutch
The ruched clutch is the latest handbag trend taking over our Instagram feeds. From pretty pastels and bold pops of color, this bag is more than just a picture-perfect accessory. Pair with bold outfits with fun colors to encapture the whimsical feel of this design.
Paper Bag Clutch
This slouchy handbag trend is the most relaxed of them all. With a paper bag silhouette, this not-so-structured bag is one of the most creative bag trends of the year.
Weaved Bag
One for texture and a love for attention to details, it's hard not getting lost in this intricate design. Best in natural tones, this bag speaks for itself. Complete with a gold- or silver-linked chain for optional use, the weaved bag is a sophisticated maze of perfection.
The Mini-Cloud Clutch
With the ability to expand to the wearer's needs, this soft pillow-like clutch is one to watch out for. With an added shoulder strap, this is a cute selection for feminine-chic fall outfits. Find your favorite in an array of this season's latest color trends.
The Minimal Clutch
Vintage-inspired bags are a great investment when in need of a classic pocketbook silhouette. Classy and sophisticated, the minimal clutch is a must-have for every woman's bag collection.
Nylon
The only thing tougher than a nylon bag is a woman on a mission. Prada set the standard when it comes to these popular bags originating during the early '80s fashion scene. Durable, water-resistant, and up to the day's challenges, this is for the girls that don't mind getting their nails dirty.
The Oversized Knot
The oversized trend is not only taking over your clothing staples for fall, but handbags as well. The bigger, the better has never been more true when it comes to chic and modern bag trends.
The Mini Bag
Small but mighty, the mini bag is 2020's favorite fashion innovation. With sizes big enough to hold your spare change or absolutely nothing at all, this is a playful accessory to wear with almost everything. From daytime casual to dinnertime looks, the mini bag is the perfect addition.

Rihanna Talks Shedding Expectations And Finding Balance As A Mother
Since becoming a mother in 2022, Rihanna has defined parenthood by her terms and hopes to pass that sense of autonomy on to her children.
For Vogue China’s April cover story, Rihanna shared her perspective on raising her two sons with A$AP Rocky, and how she hopes to preserve her children’s uniqueness, devoid of societal expectations.
"The most beautiful thing...is that [children] come into the world with their own individuality and sincerity, without any logic or conformity,” she told the publication. “Which usually makes you feel that you must fit into a certain group."
The “Work” artist, known for her trendsetting style and captivating persona, expressed her desire to support children in fully embracing their individuality and encouraging them to be whoever they want to be. "It's really beautiful to see and I want to continue to help them navigate that and make sure that they know they can be whoever they want to be,” she says.
She continues, “They should embrace it completely, because it's beautiful, and it's unique. I love them just that way."
From shattering music charts to shaking up the beauty industry, Rihanna has forged a path that has since created the “dream” life we see today. One that she says has made her parents proud of.
“I’m living my dream,” she continued. “My parents were very proud of that because they just wanted me to be happy and successful. So, I think the key thing is to find some kind of balance. Yes, balance is important. Do this and you get the best of both worlds. You can write your own life the way you want, and it will be beautiful. Sometimes, you just need to let go of everyone’s expectations and start living your own story.”
Rihanna, who shares sons, RZA, 23 months, and Riot, 8 months, with rapper A$AP Rocky, recently shared her vision for expanding her family in the future in Interview Magazine.
When stylist Mel Ottenberg asked about the number of additional children she hoped to have, Rihanna replied, "As many as God wants me to have.”
"I don't know what God wants, but I would go for more than two. I would try for my girl,” she adds. “But of course, if it's another boy, it's another boy."
