These Herbs Will Help You Get Your Chakras All The Way Together

Wellness

Early last year, I realized I really needed to get a better understanding of me, my emotions, and my wellness. 2017 was a rough year that was filled with hurt, regret, sadness, and big adjustments. I felt overwhelmed and defeated; I couldn't handle it on my own so I began to seek ways to get me through it. I ended up getting into therapy and realized that aside from that, I needed to add another practice to my wellness routine. I studied and practiced yoga and meditation to create a balance and sense of wellness in my life whenever I felt like I was losing control or even my mind again. While yoga has been inconsistent for me, meditation became one of my go-to's.

After discovering yoga and meditation, I learned about my chakras and how it related to my mental and physical being. I had no prior knowledge of what chakras were to even know that there were seven different types, and to be honest, I'm still on the journey of learning and implementing. Along the way, I discovered how to feed and be aware of my chakras, as well as balancing them. There are many ways to use the herbs in your daily life. You can fill your home with different herbs, drink tea, and use the oil from each herb in a diffuser and create the vibe you need in your home or office.

If you're looking for alignment, here are some herbs that will help balance each of your chakras:

Balancing Your Crown Chakra

The crown chakra is a bit different from our third-eye. The crown is usually a violet color and is located at the top of our head. It helps us balance our spirituality and sense of being. If your crown is imbalanced, it can lead to self-destruction, loneliness, feeling lost, and emptiness.

When Your Crown Chakra Is Unbalanced, You May Experience:

  • Confusion
  • Lack of faith
  • Feelings of lack of purpose
  • Depression

When Your Crown Chakra Is Balanced, You'll Experience:

  • Increased confidence
  • Increased spiritual beliefs
  • Sense of direction
  • A better sense of well-being

Herbs That Will Align The Crown

Lavender is the most common herb to balance this chakra. It helps with calming and healing. Most people incorporate this herb in their routine to allow openness and healing to flow through them. Lavender also relaxes your mind and quiets the ego voice while promoting spiritual awareness.

This Book Changed My Life By Transforming The Way I Look At Habits

xoNecole's I Read It So You Don't Have To is a recurring series of self-discovery that breaks down self-help books into a toolkit of takeaways and tips that are meant to assist you in finding the best life you can live. Take what works for you, and leave everything else where it is.

When I first embarked on this journey of self-compassion, self-care, and self-love, I was told to readAtomic Habits by James Clear. Admittedly, this book recommendation did not make me want to jump up for joy and read this novel the first chance I got. For one, I didn't think that I had any 'bad' habits. Well, at least any that were detrimental to my health and/or worth changing. Or, at least, so I thought.
