LeToya Luckett Is Putting The ‘Werk’ In Workouts To Drop Post-Baby Weight
Our favorite gal, Ms. LeToya Luckett, is a goddessssss, and we're so here for her and everything she is about. As we all know, she recently gave birth to her second child, Tysun (and YES, I said 'recently' because anything under a year is recent, which I feel like we don't talk about enough, but anyway...), and she has been on the move ever since to achieve her pre-baby goals. And admirably, she hasn't put any public pressure on herself to lose the weight.
In fact, she's doing so on her own damn time, and she has been snatching edges in the process.
I'm not kidding, sis looks tf goodT! She's even bringing the kids along for the journey. Of one of her recent workouts, she says:
"Let's G O! New workout fit! Who dis? Me & the little one decided to take it outside for a good ol' cardio workout. Loving my @whatwaistofficial sports wear, complete with this bucket hat to top off my look. Ready to WERK! Ready to SWEAT! Ready to look & feel my BEST!"
In the past, Luckett has certainly discussed the pressures of losing baby weight by basically saying she not trying to hear all that and focusing on her own pace. After she gave birth to daughter, Gianna, she wrote on IG:
"I have to say that as tough as my journey has been at times, I wouldn't trade it for NOTHIN! This body carried a WHOLE life for 9months bruh! 😩 it took me 9months to gain it & I know it's not just going to fall off overnight, so I'm pacing myself. I'm doing my best to eat right workout & most of all focus on my mental health."
With both children, Luckett has shared her workout journey, including videos of herself getting her fitness on in the house, running with strollers, and hitting the pavement by any means. It was most important for the singer to not be too hard on herself.
"Everyone's journey is very different. We look in the mirror before we have a child and we're like, 'Oh, this is me, this is who I am. This is the LeToya that I know. Then, you have the baby, and you're so excited. You go back to that same mirror, and you go, 'Wait a minute. Who is this? What body?' But here's the thing, it's still you. Regardless if it's a new you, regardless if you put on a couple of pounds, or something's different. It's still you. It's you evolving and that's what I have to keep in my mind.'"
She continues:
"For me, I couldn't go into hiding. Four weeks after having Gianna, my daughter, I was on TV with all the chins, giving you all this back fat. I want people to see me in my most vulnerable state, and I need them to be able to relate because of a lot of times what you see on TV, a lot of time what you see on these stages, it's not even real. You have people that are suffering in silence because they don't want to accept their bodies or they're afraid of being bullied."
A word, sis! Keep killing it, mama!

Exclusive: Koryn Hawthorne On Her Miraculous Love Story: ‘I Was Never A Girlfriend’
Gospel singer Koryn Hawthorne has used her voice to let the world know about what God can do, and now the Season 8 finalist of NBC’s The Voice is sharing a miraculous act that led to her engagement.
The Praise This actress shared in an interview with xoNecole that prior to becoming engaged to her partner, Hunter Register, she passed over one particular title on her way to becoming a fiancée.
“I was never a girlfriend,” Hawthorn, 26, tells xoNecole.
“We've known each other since we were kids, so we just kind of always had this distant friendship. We would hit each other up on social media, and [I] slide up under things that he was posting,” she says. “We ended up hanging out together, and when we hung out, it was an instant immediate connection from all fronts. I think we just knew from the first day that I don't want to spend a day apart from you.”

She continued, "And yeah, we probably were boyfriend or girlfriend after — am I delusional? Then we were engaged a few months later.”
The Grammy-nominated singer, who became engaged in November of 2023, went on to share what her experience has been preparing to become a wife, exploring the personal growth, challenges, and emotions experienced throughout the process.
“It's a journey, I'm not gonna lie,” she says. “Relationships, in general, are hard, and whenever you think about marriage, is just different from being boyfriend and girlfriend because if you piss me off, I could just go,” she shared. “But marriage is an actual commitment. It's a partnership. It's a ministry.”
Hawthorne, 26, and Register, 27, were childhood friends growing up in Louisiana and sealed their love during a weekend getaway in New Orleans last fall.
For the gospel star, marriage involves more than lovely-dovey aspects, emphasizing how her relationship has allowed her to grow, mature, and learn valuable lessons through love.
“We were supposed to get married in May, but like for us to be mature enough to be like, ‘You know what? No, let's take the necessary time to make sure that we're fully prepared for this commitment such a beautiful thing,” Hawthorne reflected.
“It's a learning curve for sure, but our preparation for marriage would have been the only thing that brought this out of me. It's hard and it's scary at times, but it's God's purpose and His plan for our lives.”
