Doja Cat has had a very prosperous few years in the music industry. She dropped two albums within two years, which charted well on Billboard, and her songs “Streets” and “Say So” from her 2019 project Hot Pink took over the internet during the pandemic due to them going viral on TikTok.

She also took home countless awards from MTV’s EMA’s to the VMA’s which she hosted and now she’s nominated for a Grammy along with Saweetie for their hit song “Best Friend.” But even with all the success, Doja isn’t happy.

Recently, the dynamic performer took to Instagram Live and shared with fans about the pressures in her career and not enjoying her fame.

“And I mean [I want to] make music like willy nilly, like just have fun and just jam and make some shit. I haven’t done that in maybe five years, feels like,” she said. “I’m doing all this shit that I don’t fucking wanna do. I don’t wanna take fucking pictures. Like, yes…planning a photoshoot is very fun. Capturing a concept, capturing a visual idea, like something like that, I love fashion, I do. I really do. I love to dress up, I love all that shit. Do I wanna do that shit because I have to? No! No, I don’t.”

“But I feel pressured to do shit like that. I don’t fucking wanna do that. I wanna be home. … I wanna make music, I wanna play fucking video games,” she concluded.

This isn’t the first time the 26-year-old rapper has expressed not being happy. In October, Doja fired off a series of tweets about being “tired,” but has since deleted them. The tweets reportedly read, “I’m just tired and I don’t want to do anything. I’m not happy. I’m done saying yes to motherfuckas cuz I can’t even have a week to just chill,” she said.

“I’m never not working. I’m fucking tired. Alex is getting old he’s 68 years old and I can’t even be there for him. I wanna be alone. It’s not anybody else’s fault but mine anyway I just keep agreeing to shit I don’t wanna do in the future. It’s my own dumb-ass fault. And then I’m too tired to put any effort into this shit cuz I’m so run down from everything else.”

We hope Doja gets the rest she needs.

Exclusive: Viral It Girl Kayla Nicole Is Reclaiming The Mic—And The Narrative

It’s nice to have a podcast when you’re constantly trending online. One week after setting timelines ablaze on Halloween, Kayla Nicole released an episode of her Dear Media pop culture podcast, The Pre-Game, where she took listeners behind the scenes of her viral costume.

The 34-year-old had been torn between dressing up as Beyoncé or Toni Braxton, she says in the episode. She couldn’t decide which version of Bey she’d be, though. Two days before the holiday, she locked in her choice, filming a short recreation of Braxton’s “He Wasn’t Man Enough for Me” music video that has since garnered nearly 6.5M views on TikTok.

What Is A 'Vulnerable Narcissist'? How It Creeps Up In Female Friendships.

Narcissist. Boy, if there is a word that has been used — and, in many ways, misused — to death, especially on social media, that would be the one. I say that because the folks who think that just because a relationship didn’t go as planned, or they no longer gel with someone, that it must be because that person is a narcissist? Whew, chile.

So, let me just say before we get into today’s topic that one, I won’t really be referring to narcissistic personality disorder; people who have that are diagnosed by professionals — not randoms on social media who like to Google a lot. Nah, this is more about how some individuals display several traits of being narcissistic — and for the sake of this article, the traits of being a vulnerable narcissist, specifically.
