These Celeb Cookbooks Will Have Your Kitchen Jumpin'

Issa meal!

I'm here for a ton of our faves releasing their secrets to amazing recipes. From the infamous Smollett family's cookbook to Uncle Snoop giving us his own secrets (I'm so ready for those), celebrities aren't holding back when it comes to sharing their recipes with us. If you're like me, you'll be surprised that some of them can really get down in the kitchen like that! But even if it's a shocker, I definitely want to see what they're bringing to the table. Can we get a plate though?

The Family Table: Recipes and Moments from a Nomadic Life

So who knew the Smollett family had time to take a break from taking over the world to create a cookbook? But they did and it's pretty amazing. If you're a major fan of this famous family, you know they moved around a lot when they were younger (13 times to be exact). It turns out they made sure that no matter how busy they were or what city they were in, they would eat dinner together. Black excellence at its finest. Now they want to share the family moments they had via meals with all of us. Some of their most popular ones include honey sriracha chicken skewers, 7th Ward gumbo, North African chicken stew, and potato crab au gratin. Um, this family knows how to get down.

Uncle Snoop! So we kind of already knew Snoop had skills in the kitchen thanks to his VH1 series with Martha Stewart. But his cookbook? Straight fire. While he has meals that are typically associated with the rich and famous, like lobster thermidor and filet mignon, you know our uncle didn't forget about his classic OG style. His cookbook also features baked macaroni, fried bologna sandwiches with chips, and soft flour tacos. And of course, he threw in a few snacks like chewy Starbursts and Frito BBQ twists. But it wouldn't be a Snoop Dogg cookbook without a gin and juice recipe, so he has that in there too. Go head, Unc.

Chrissy Teigen has proven in more ways than one that she's much more than John Legend's wife. She's a diehard foodie who has no shame in sharing her guilty pleasures with fans on Twitter. She went a step further and dropped a cookbook with, well all of our favorite cravings. It's one thing to go to the store or a drive-thru to get it. But being able to cook it and add your own flair? Yeah, I love Chrissy for this one. From using bacon as a home fragrance to finding the trick to making cheesy eggs with cheese, Chrissy has a lot of tricks for us in this book. And she shows love to her husband with his popular fried chicken with spicy honey butter, and her Thai background with a few of her mom's homemade meals. We see you, Chrissy. You better believe, our stomachs are equally excited about her follow-up to the best seller, Cravings: Hungry for More.

Kelis dropped her cookbook a couple of years ago, but I still had to show love because her recipes are classic. And not a lot of people knew she actually had a cookbook. So here we are. While I'm still kind of sad she took a break from music, it's clear sis has been booked because she's been traveling around the world. Her journey has inspired many of her recipes in her cookbook. Whether it's her Permil or Arroz con Gandules that's inspired from her trip to Puerto Rico or her Malay Curry Chicken and Swedish Meatballs that she's mastered after going on an eat, pray, love journey around the world, Kelis brings a lot of delicious to the table. And I can't wait to try them!

Tia Mowry is seriously every woman. The mother, wife, actress, and now chef has found her way into my home once again. What I love about her book is that she's so transparent as to why she's adamant about eating healthy and real foods. Most fans know that she suffered endometriosis.

After she underwent two surgeries, her doctor said she should trade in her junk food for healthier options. Now, she's a pro and she's helping us with our lifestyle changes. But just because it's healthy doesn't mean it's bland. After she ate meals like crispy collard greens and buttermilk fried chicken, her endometriosis changed so much to the point that she was able to get pregnant. Plus, our other faves like Serena Williams and Morris Chestnut give it two thumbs up too.

You know this list wouldn't be completely without Mama O. She's pretty much the best to ever do it. Oprah Winfrey's cookbook proves how she was able to overcome an unhealthy life to one that's not just improved, but full of amazing flavor. She's one of those celebrities that have proven you don't have to skimp out on good taste just because you're embracing a healthier lifestyle. She offers up substitutes to some of our guilty pleasures like unfried chicken and turkey chili. But she also introduces pretty amazing and nutritious dishes too like Tuscan kale, apple salad, and pasta primavera. We aren't worthy Oprah.
