10 Places You Can Travel To & Get Warm This Winter

This cold weather got us all feeling like there's some clovers in the atmosphere.

Unless you're blessed enough to live where it's warm weather all year round, you're on the same page as everyone else that you're over this cold weather! Sometimes it's just not enough to picture ourselves laying on the beach; we actually want to do it. Is it too much to ask to see the sun when we wake up?

Nah, sis. It's not.

That's where this list of places to get warm comes in. And I understand a lot of us are balling on a budget, so this list is pretty affordable. Get into these places that will certainly help you get over the cold weather blues. Take a look:

Cairo, Egypt.

Cairo is actually becoming quite the destination for people who not only want somewhere warm to visit but for anyone interested in a place where the culture and art scene is impeccable, to say the least.

It's the capital of Egypt, so it's pretty modernized and close to what's considered a metropolitan city. It's near the mouth of the Nile River and home of the world-class Egyptian Museum of Tahrir Square. And let's not forget about the Pyramids of Giza. They aren't too far either.

Key West, FL

…Or really any place in Florida. Key West is a major plus because it's not as expensive as our beloved Miami Beach, but you can still enjoy the ocean and all that the beach has to offer.

The city took an L with Hurricane Irma, but it's definitely bounced back since then. This is a great thing because a lot of attractions, and even hotels, are more affordable than normal in an attempt to get tourists to start making their way back to the area.

Pattaya, Thailand

I know what you're thinking. "Thailand?!" But yes sis, you can get a lot for your money here. And trust, there's a lot you'll want to get.

The view is unexplainable and has the potential to leave you speechless. It sits right on the coast of the Gulf of Thailand and is almost as affordable as they come. The area's Jomtien Beach features over three miles of shoreline and hotels for less than $50 a night.

Myrtle Beach, SC

Myrtle Beach

Myrtle Beach is a major win because it's proof you don't have to go too far south for warm weather. It's perfect for a solo vacation, a girls' trip, or even a baecation. . It's got almost every attraction you can think of right on the boardwalk, from the Ferris wheel to golfing; so if you want to enjoy the view from your room and get active, you really get the best of both worlds.

Ochos Rios, Jamaica

Whether you're stopping through on a cruise or Ochos Rios, Jamaica is your one-stop destination, you're definitely gonna have a good time.

There's a reason it's made its way to the top of destination lists, and what makes it great is that you don't have to break the bank to go and enjoy yourself. From the all-inclusive hotels to attractions like Dunn's River Falls, and of course the beaches that you've been daydreaming about, it's time to get into Ochos Rios… if you haven't already.

What else do you need to get over the winter blues than to slide under a palm tree with some lemonade?

From the art scene to all of the entertaining festivities (there's no doubt you'll be able to catch an amazing concert while you're there), you can't go wrong with soaking up the L.A. sun while getting away from all of your responsibilities, and the cold.

Cabo San Lucas, Mexico

Villa del Arco

This can be more than a getaway for spring break. Even before our fellow college students come to party, Cabo San Lucas can be a place of relaxation while you soak up the sun.

Flights can be super cheap if you catch them on the right day. And if you're going with your clique, you can take advantage of group rates for hotels and excursions. Whatever you decide, the vacation vibes will hit you as soon as you get off the plane. It's that real.

Gulf Shores, Alabama

Yoooo… don't sleep on Alabama. While we don't really see a lot of people writing Alabama on their dream vacation list, it's definitely one that's attainable for those wanting to get somewhere warm ASAP.

Get ready to take in the amazing beach and the even more amazing sunsets. And you don't have to worry about paying an arm and a leg for lodging because the housing and even condo rentals aren't too shabby either.

Palm Cove, Queensland

Airlie Beach

If you're really wanting to take a solo vacation, Australia just might be the kind of spot you need; especially if you're looking for somewhere quiet that lets you truly relax the way you've been wanting to.

Palm Cove specifically is close enough for a day trip to Great Barrier Reef and even the rain forest. If the price is still at the forefront of your mind, hotels start at $100 a night. These types of adventures should definitely be on your bucket list. And you shouldn't be afraid to conquer it alone!

Antigua

Antigua has gotten a bad rap for being expensive. But that's partly because the surrounding areas are a bit pricey. In reality, Antigua can be affordable when done right.

The taxis are certainly cheap (and it's not difficult to hail one), there are public beaches galore, and you can stop by Dickenson Bay for the free. You can also save on the hotel front because the ones right next to the beach can be as cheap as $70 a night.

Happy traveling sis!
