Alas, fall is upon us and I've successfully dragged myself into a show hole.

I've binge watched my favorite shows from beginning to end and I've grown weary of my list of top-rated melanated movie titles. Just when there seemed like there was nothing left, fall premiere slates slid through with the come through and blessed us with this ultimate fall watchlist.

Here's a list of everything new and black in Hollywood that you can look forward to this fall:

Greenleaf (OWN) - August 28 & 29

OWN's hit megachurch drama will return for a 3rd season at the end of this month with a two-night season premiere. It's been rumored that Beau Bridges and Iyanla Vanzant will be featured as guests.

Married to Medicine (Bravo) - Sunday, September 2

The reality series that focuses on prominent members of Atlanta's medical community will premiere its 6th season on Bravo this September.

The Bobby Brown Story (BET) - Tuesday, September 4

BET


This two-night premiere will follow in the footsteps of BET's New Edition biopic miniseries and promises to reveal the untold story of the young R&B star and his troubled life. It stars New Edition's Woody McClain reprising his role as the titular character.

Rel (FOX) - Sunday, September 9

Stand-up comedian and Get Out co-star Rel Howard is bringing his quirks to the big screen in his newest comedic sitcom, Rel, which will also feature internet sensation Jess Hilarious in its series premiere this September.

Empire (FOX) - Wednesday, Sept 26


The Lyons are out for vengeance in Season 5 of the music industry-centric drama. No one messes with Cookie's boys, and with the fate of their empire at stake, there's nothing she won't do to keep them safe.

How to Get Away with Murder (ABC) - Thursday, September 27


Shonda is hitting us with the heat two times in a row. Buckle up, and get ready for your voyage into Shondaland on Thursdays this fall, because you'll get your weekly fixes of Grey's Anatomy and How to Get Away With Murder starting September 27.

God Friended Me - Sunday, September 30

This comedic sitcom answers the age-old question: "What If God Had A Facebook account?" God Friended Me is a witty comedy about a self-identified atheist who finds God in a very unlikely way.

Happy Together - Monday, October 1


A retired couple looking for adventure gets the ride of a lifetime when a young popstar moves into their home. This show will star Damon Wayans Jr. (New Girl) and Amber Stevens West (The Carmichael Show) as its main characters.

Black Lightning (The CW) - Tuesday, October 9


Creators of the OWN series, Love Is ___, Salim and Mara Brock Akil, will return with the second season of their highly melanated superhero themed show, Black Lightning on October 9.

black-ish (ABC) - Tuesday, October 16


Our favorite upper-middle class family is coming back to our television screens this October, and we'll finally find out more about Junior's first year of college and if Bow and Dre ever find a way to resolve their marital woes.

BlacKkKlansman - Now Playing


This Spike Lee directed film is set in the 70's and tells the true story of an undercover agent (who is also the first black man to serve in the Colorado Springs Police Department) that manages to infiltrate the KKK.

Night School - Friday, September 28

Tiffany Haddish, Will Packer, and Kevin Hart teamed up to give us the fall comedy we didn't know we needed. The film is focused on a young man (Kevin Hart) who seeks to get his GED to secure a job by attending night school but won't be successful without overcoming a few obstacles, including a teacher (Tiffany Haddish) who isn't quite fond of him.

Quincy (Netflix) - Friday, September 21

Produced by his daughter, Rashida Jones, Quincy is a documentary that details the private life of the world renowned composer who has dominated the music industry for more than seven decades. The documentary is said to reveal the truth behind the controversial background of the well-known star.

The Hate U Give - Friday, October 19


This racially motivated film stars Amandla Stenberg as a young girl stuck between two worlds: her predominately white preparatory school she attends during the day, and the crime-infested neighborhood that she comes home to at night. The movie has an all-star cast including Issa Rae, Common, and Regina Hall.

Widows - Friday, November 16

What do you get when you put together a few mob wives with dead husbands and a whole lot of debt? Viola Davis' new film Widows. The Steve McQueen-helmed film is based in modern-day Chicago and is a crime thriller you won't want to miss this fall.
