Rihanna Says She’s Having A Baby By 40 With Or Without A Man & I Felt That In My Spirit

I recently took a look around my circle and realized that I'm the only one who isn't a mom. As I approach my 27th birthday, this is a sobering thought.

As I straddle this hump that is a quarter-life crisis, I realize that while my biological clock is still ticking, I no longer have the time or the energy to pour into sh*t that doesn't serve me and this is true when it comes to every area of my life––professional opportunities, friendships, and most especially, romantic relationships, and in her recent exclusive with British Vogue, our favorite bad girl revealed that after her most recent birthday, she has that same energy.

The singer, who ended her long-term relationship with her ex-Saudi billionaire bae, Hasaan Jameel, earlier this year explained that as she settles into her 30s, she has a higher vision for her future and a much lower tolerance for bullsh*t. She told the publication:

"Since I turned 32, I'm realizing life is really short. You don't have a lot of time to tolerate shit, you know? You put so much on your plate. When you're overwhelmed, you need to start cutting things out. And I'm overwhelmed too much. What's happening now is that I'm going back to black and white. My grey area is shutting down."

In lieu of her very lucrative business dealings, aggressive philanthropic work, and upcoming studio album, Rihanna has now decided to put her dating life on hold and shift her attention to securing a bag. While this workaholic says that non-stop late nights and early mornings can become taxing, her hustle is inspired by this very important reason:

"I'm working like this now so that I don't have to in the future. I know I will want to live differently."

Thanks to technology, women are finally able to take the wheel when it comes to our biological clocks and Rihanna says that she's willing to take that ride alone if she has to. When the multihyphenate hustler was asked where she sees herself in 10 years, she revealed that she'll be well on her journey into motherhood, with or without a man and honestly, same sis.

"Ten years? I'll be 42! I'll be ancient. I'll have kids—three or four of 'em."

While others may not be in agreement with Rihanna's potential path to motherhood, she says that it's a choice that she's made with confidence.

"Hell, yeah. I feel like society makes me want to feel like, 'Oh, you got it wrong…' They diminish you as a mother if there's not a dad in your kids' lives. But the only thing that matters is happiness, that's the only healthy relationship between a parent and a child. That's the only thing that can raise a child truly, is love."
