What Happened When I Experimented With 6 Magic Wands

Before rabbits and bullets, there was the magical world of the hitachi AKA the wand AKA the massager (wink, wink). Still, for as long as the wands have been on the market I've wondered what all the hype was about. Well, today is the day that both you and I find out what the best wand vibrator is and why we should invest in this highly regarded sex toy.

I was inspired by xoNecole's Managing Editor, who wrote a raving review on wands not all that long ago -- I mean when something sounds as good as she made it sound, who am I to deny myself that pleasure? Furthermore, there had to be something powerful about the damn thing because not only has it been on the market since the dawn of time, but companies are still banging out their own little renditions of wand vibrators -- they're far from dated, even with the demand for technology to keep up with the times.

Wand vibrators are perfect for clitoral stimulation with their bendable, silicone tips and unusually high voltage of power. But, it's the hitatchi that has made a name for both itself and the others. Yet, that doesn't stop other companies from trying their hand in the wand business and although I wouldn't dare to say superior -- many of them are damn good proteges.

Here's all you need to know about 6 types of wands, including the original. Click through the gallery below!

6 Of The Best Wand Vibrators: I Tried Them All

Adam & Eve Magic Massager Deluxe 8x, $69.95

Adam & Eve did create a wand that very closely resembles the blueprint of the original. For a slightly higher price tag, you can definitely get a powerful vibration out of this wand with eight different vibrations and an additional five pulsating speeds. However, edging is not my thing. But somehow that's exactly what happened as I dripped onto the massager, effectively shutting it down. After a downpour, I looked down to find little bolts of electricity ending what was sure to be a good time. As someone who has the magic ability to squirt whenever my clitoris is thoroughly stimulated through powerful masturbation, this wasn't the toy for me. However, I don't necessarily think this is reflective of the toy or surprising, as it is electric. Nonetheless, it's something you must know if you are someone who experiences next level wetness of any sort.

Magic Wand, $59.95

Ever wondered why the OG wand -- a "vibrator" that requires an outlet -- is still in demand? Yeah, me too! But I can tell you now, it has everything to do with its pleasure principles. Of all the wands I tried, the original still packed the greatest punch. It has two speeds, and they are monster truck engine and monstruck engine. (There's a controller you buy seperate, that provides some a middle ground for those who need it.) Furthermore, it was able to endure all of my wetness and then some, plus bring me to the brink of an orgasm. Though the head is flexible on this wand, it is one of the more rigid heads of the toys tested -- not that you necessarily need it to be flexible.

Magic Wand Rechargeable, $124.95

Almost every bit as bomb as the original, but with a few distinguishing features -- the first and most crucial being that it's rechargeable. Now, the next feature is the speed function as in, it actually has one. The original only has a high/low function, if you're not about this life something like that might numb your clitoris into a coma.

Adam & Eve Sensual Touch Wand Massager, $69.95

With 10 speeds, I'm creaming just thinking about this lovely Adam & Eve creation. Don't look at its size and be fooled into thinking it doesn't put in work like the others, because it does. But it's the uber flexible mushroom top that sets this massager apart from the rest. Sure, they all have a bit of flexibility helping you get up close and personal with your clitoris, but this one proved to be the most pliant, allowing me to come at my clitoris from angles, sure to pop the head off a Barbie doll.

Lovelife Wanderlust Wand Vibrator, $69

Probably my least favorite wand, the heart shape on this one was less than thrilling as it felt like it was in the way of my getting off more than anything. To say the least, the power is there but it literally just can't be great due to the silicone heart head. How-ev-er, if you play around with it for a bit, you will find that the ridge between the shoulders of the heart is where the orgasm lies. For me, the the key was a rocking motion, which the the flexible head allows for. Although this vibe has 7 pulsations, it's not strong enough power-wise to explore (for me) and the pulsations are also not a rhythm I can f*ck with. Literally.

Le Wand Petite, $135

While it goes by the name petite, this model and brand has some oomph to it -- don't let the luxe color options and compact size fool you. Furthermore, it has some damn good pulsating patterns (six to be specific, not including the 10 regular vibrations) and coming from one who hates the inconsistency of most pulsating vibrators, that means quite a lot. This wand is superior from the other options in that it probably travels a little bit better with its smaller size.
