Your January 2019 Monthly Horoscopes Are Here!

Horoscopes

January is an explosive month! 2019 has some huge things going on astrologically, which will either push or pull you in ways that are unexpected. There is a partial lunar eclipse happening this month. Lunar eclipses channel the closure of things and where that is, depends on your Sun sign. Take note of your rising sign as this affects your monthly horoscope as well.

What you do during this month will truly give roots to what happens to you in the summer.

Starting in mid to late December, we started to see major expansion shifts while Jupiter, the planet of abundance and generosity, did a little tap dance through our charts. Now that the new year is here and the effects of Jupiter are more integrated with our lives, we will see even more potentials for growth, learning, and joy. But along with the positive expansions of Jupiter, there will also be some negative push backs from important planetary transits. This can either be the push you need to get up and go, or a reason to stay in your comfort zone. Get ready my lovely sisters! We are off to a great start in the new year!

ARIES & ARIES RISING

Your momentum keeps going at the start of the new year as you seek opportunities to connect with others in a more meaningful and emotional way. This is not just a one-way street though – as others will be attracted to you too as your vibes project out into your surroundings.

Pack your bags Aries! Travel might be the biggest theme for you starting January 7th. Although this travel bug might not end up with you going on your "dream trip", any excuse to get out of your normal routine will do your psyche good. Keep your ears perked for travel opportunities, such as a friend who invites you on a trip or maybe a last-minute chance to visit family.

Any travel during January and early February will result in increasing your opportunities for mind-expanding situations, which will greatly enhance your life going forward.

Has your boss been getting on your nerves lately? Planetary transits are encouraging you to confront your superiors this month. Yet, even though you are feeling quite empowered to confront authority, that doesn't mean you should! Calm your emotions and use your power to instead create a killer life plan to better your productivity or make a well-thought out plan to approach your boss for a raise.

Towards the end of the month is a great time to slow down a bit and spend more time with your friends who may have been feeling left behind as you attack your career and travel plans with wild abandon. In the coming months, you will experience even more of a desire to slow things down and connect with loved ones. This will be very good for your mental health, as you find that your nerves get to take a break while you take a breather.

Gabrielle Union is not here for the label stepparent. While she became a stepparent after marrying Dwyane Wade in 2014, that doesn't mean that she wants to be defined by it. The actress spoke about the dislike of that term during her appearance on Glennon Doyle's "We Can Do Hard Things" podcast.

It was actually pretty close to this time last year when I penned the piece "How To Get Through The Holidays If You Don't Observe Them". Unlike some of the other articles that I write for the site, I pulled that one from very personal experience. Being that my personality is very wired to "be good" on something once I know its origin, holidays are something that I tend to take a pass on; this includes Thanksgiving (some insightful reads on its origin are found here, here and here). Still, this doesn't mean I'm not aware of the fact that many people use this time of year to reflect on their blessings and to say "thanks" for all the good that has come their way. Since I like to write on relationships a lot, I thought to myself, "Why not come up with ways for people to show gratitude to their significant other?"

I didn't want to say that I was having bad luck. That's not something I'd ever want to speak into existence over my life. But I will say something wasn't right. I had a few coins stacked in my purse from a one-time project as well as from an ongoing one. Then I received emails from not one but two publications within days apart asking me if I'd like to contribute a few articles every week. Opportunities and money were flowing in. If you follow the law of attraction, you'd say I was vibrating on a high frequency.

Tinashe has learned a lot about her mental health while growing up in the entertainment industry. The singer/songwriter began dancing at four years old and had her first movie role at five years old.

From there, she went on to be in a girl group The Stunners and act in TV shows like Two and a Half Men. Now as an independent artist focusing solely on her music, the "All Hands on Deck" singer opened up about the struggles she faced in the industry.

My favorite time of the year is the start of the official boot season which begins during the transitional period between summer and fall. What's most exciting about the sudden drop in temperatures is stepping back into those sleek pair of boots for the first time in months. Whether zipping up oldies but goodies or investing in a new fall 2021 boot trend, this year is all about the calf boot. Specifically, this is the best option when easing your summer clothes into the appropriate fall looks.
