Vivica A. Fox Has Entered The Chat: "I Would Marry Again, But We Need Separate Houses"

"Once you get older, I think space is beautiful."

Celebrity News

Auntie Viv is in such a great place these days, which we love to see. She has managed to stay bookedT and busy, even during the pandemic, and as she has always been since arriving on the scene in the '90s, and you know she keeps her a bag nearby in doing so. Because of her experience in navigating Hollywood, when sis opens her mouth to discuss just about anything, we listen, as we know she's going to come with what we all really need to hear.

Additionally, she is a host on the hit show Cocktails with Queens–featuring herself, Syleena Johnson, and LisaRaye McCoy, where they discuss it all, no topic or current event is off the table.

Well, Ms. Fox took a moment away from the hosting table, to sit in the interview chair while visiting 'The Wendy Williams Show'.

The topic of her once-love 50 Cent came up, which for some reason, interviewers continually ask her about every single time for almost 20 years, to which Wendy then asked her if she would ever marry again.

"Absolutely. BUT. I wouldn't have a problem if he had a house next door, and I had my own. I met a couple of women that literally--I did a movie in Temecula and my friend, she has a very happy marriage, but then her husband has a little house down below, and they're happy and he pays for both."

Wendy agrees, as she continues:

"Well, once you get older, I think space is beautiful. There's nothing wrong with saying, 'I'll see you on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday and you know, we can do the do, and have a good time, and you go back to your place.' It probably will last longer. Our world has changed so much that I just believe space is a beautiful thing."

Vivica was married to singer Christopher Harvest from 1998-2002, which she recently (and rarely) opened up about to VladTV. In the interview, she admitted their marriage started off on on the wrong foot, being that because she wanted a fairy tale wedding like all of the women around her, she rushed walking down the aisle.

"I did. I hate to say that. Everyone was having their Cinderella day and I just wanted one too to be very honest with you. Why the marriage didn't last a long time is 'cause I didn't take the time to get to know him. I felt peer pressure."

Her breaking point came after Harvest's group didn't get the recording deal they were planning on, she noticed he didn't pursue other opportunities with the ferocity she would have in her own career, and she wound up taking care of them both.

"He didn't go out and then pursue things with the same drive that I had for my career. You know, a woman doesn't like paying all the bills all the time. I can only ask for help so many times before I had to come to the conclusion that I didn't want to be the breadwinner in this family. My mother didn't raise me to take care of a man. And that was the deciding factor."

And interestingly enough, this new trend of marrying your spouse and having separate homes, is only growing in much of Hollywood, as actress and singer Keri Hilson, expressed the same sentiments.

She told HelloBeautiful:

"I'm like Mykah Jones (her television character) in that I love myself, I love my singleness and I love my alone time. Even if I were with someone, I still need me time a lot to the point where I could probably live in two separate houses with my own husband. I've done two separate countries for over a decade. I want to put myself in a position to find that partner and maybe accelerate the process in-between because I'll go years in between relationships."

Could you live in a separate home from your significant other?

'Black Panther: Wakanda Forever' Reminds Us That Angela Bassett Is Still Owed An Oscar

In a world much fairer than the one we currently occupy, Angela Bassett shelves would be adorned with multiple Oscars. While watching the latest installment of the Black Panther franchise, I was reminded of the sheer brilliance and excellence of the actress who has blessed audiences with her boundless talents for over three decades now. I wasn’t the only one captivated by Bassett’s performance, with some people even going as far as to suggest that Bassett might garner award recognition for the role.

black-family-dinner-table-grief-loss-during-holidays

The holidays are widely known as a time for celebration. It is a time when many people gather together to engage in community, cultivate connection and experience the joy of togetherness. Hallmark movies play on most TV screens and the dinner table is spread to serve people in abundance. A season that is often widely known for joy, can simultaneously be a season of grief for many. There are folks who will go through this holiday season with someone they love missing from the dinner table. A stocking that would usually be found hanging over the fireplace will be out of sight. No one talks about the heaviness of death and loss during the holidays.

5 Things You Should Consider Before Moving Abroad

Have you considered moving abroad? In 2021, I started life as a digital nomad. A "digital nomad" is a phrase that came to popularity due to the pandemic and it describes a person who lives a location-independent lifestyle. Since I started working and traveling simultaneously, I've traveled to Mexico, London, Dubai, and the Caribbean. According to a report by Upwork, 22% of the American workforce will be remote workers by 2025 — thus giving more people than ever the opportunity to live and work abroad.

rihanna-red-nails-red-nail-theory

Red nails have always intrigued me—namely because the red nails were always on the fingers of a well-put-together woman with perfectly laid hair, a perfume that lingered, and an heir of confidence orbiting them. Oh, and they usually drove a luxury car. I assume this is why we're all discussing the "red nail theory," a hot topic on TikTok thanks to GirlBossTown discovering that wearing red nail polish was responsible for an uptick in male attention. The #redtheory hashtag has 100 million views and counting. So, let's take a further look into this anecdotal theory.
