Before Kanye made "Bound 2" with Kim Kardashian, there was "Robocop" with Amber Rose.
Unfortunately, the video never saw the light of day.
Back in 2010, Kanye revealed that his girlfriend at the time , Amber, would be the star of his epic "Robocop" video, a single picked from the album 808s & Heartbreaks. Everyone was all ready for the visual, but things got messy behind the scenes, the couple split and the video was scrapped.
Now, four years and two weddings later, the video has emerged and it features Amber as a robotic version of herself.
Watch the brief clip leaked by one of the video's animators below.
Here's the backstory of why the video was never released.
Back then, a guy claiming to be Amber's former publicist released a statement saying that "Robocop" was scrapped after Kanye caught Amber cheating.
“The 'Robocop' video never got released because of Amber’s infidelity. It was put on hold and never released after Kanye caught Amber cheating. Kanye to this day thanked me for my honesty.”
But later on, Amber set the record straight and revealed that Kanye was in fact the one who was cheating, and he was cheating with Kim Kardashian.
[Kanye and Kim] were both cheating on me and Reggie with each other. She was sending pictures, and I was like, ‘Kim, just stop. Don’t be that person. I thought at least she’d be woman enough to respond to me. She never responded.
It’s very important that us women stick together and we don’t f**k each other over like that.
It seems as though the bitterness from the breakup caused Kanye to scrap the project altogether in fear that he would make Amber an even bigger star by featuring her in the video.
Ironically, "Robocop" was a track Kanye wrote about his ex Alexis Phifer.
