We're just a month away from one of my favorites of the year — the kickoff of summer music festivals. Not only do these annual festivals give us a chance to see our favorite musicians all in one place, if you're up for hitting the road (or booking a flight), you can get you can fuel your inner traveler, too.
No matter your music type, each of these festivals has something for everyone. Here's 8 music festivals you and your squad should definitely attend in 2019:
When: April 12-14 and April 19-21, 2019
Where: Indio, California
Price: Three-day general admission passes are $429, and three-day VIP passes are $999. Coachella is sold out but if you're still interested in going, be sure to join their waitlist here for both weekends.
Where To Stay: Finding an Airbnb in Palm Springs, Joshua Tree, or Palm Desert will be your best bet since accommodation options in Indio sell out fast.

Pharell’s Something In The Water Festival
When: April 26-28, 2019
Where: Virginia Beach, Virginia
Price: Three-day general admission passes are $195 with VIP tickets starting at $450.
Who We Can't Wait To See: Missy Elliott, SZA, Usher, Migos, Janelle Monae, Jhene Aiko
Where To Stay: Virginia Beach has an assortment of hotels to choose from, but if you're on a budget, the Econo Lodge on the Ocean seems to be a great deal and boasts five-star reviews on TripAdvisor. If you're in a treat yo' self mood, Beach Spa Bed and Breakfast has luxe bedding, a 24-hour coffee bar, and Reiki and aromatherapy spa treatments.
The Govenors Ball
When: May 31-June 2, 2019
Where: New York City
Price: Three-day general admission passes are $305, and three-day VIP passes starting $705.

Where To Stay: If you're into getting to know the great outdoors, Bonnaroo is offering tents starting at $50 that comes with two sleeping bags and two air mattresses that accommodate two people with other options that go up to $463 a night. If camping isn't your thing, the city of Murfreesboro is about 30 miles from the festival grounds.
When: Thursday, Jul 4, 2019 – Monday, Jul 8, 2019
Where: New Orleans
Price: Three-day packages start at $225 and go up to $3,000.
Who We Can't Wait To See: Missy Elliot, Teyana Taylor, Ledisi, Tweet, Jojo, Musiq Soulchild, and Anthony Hamilton
Where To Stay: Hotels for ESSENCE Festival sell out a year in advance, but there is hope thanks to Airbnb. If you're looking to have a good cost-effective time, gather your girls and book a house together. You'll save some coins and get to get some one-on-one girl time. If hotels are more your speed, The Saint Hotel and Hotel Monteleone are highly rated and are just a few blocks away from all the action.
When: July 12-13, 2019
Where: London, England
Price: Two-day general admission passes are $135 with VIP Tickets going for $175.
