Last year, when Louisville basketball star Kevin Ware's leg fractured on live television, it was one of the most gruesome incidents that most spectators thought they would ever see in the game of basketball. Unfortunately, last night, a similar freak accident happened to Pacers forward Paul George.
While trying to block James Harden in a Team USA exhibition game in Las Vegas, George collided into the stanchion which caused his right leg to snap just below the knee cap. Players on the court, including Harden, curled over in shock, and his parents immediately rushed out onto the court.
The 24-year-old baller was rushed to the hospital where he underwent a successful surgery. It is anticipated that it will take a year for Paul George to recover from the injury and possibly return to the NBA again.
