Can we talk about how Megan Thee Stallion is lowkey an inspirational speaker? I mean seriously, have you ever been feeling down on yourself and then "Girls in the Hood" starts playing? It's like, OK girl, get it together, you're a Queen. From beats and bars to catchy lyrics, she's gonna deliver. But musical talent isn't the only thing that deserves acknowledgment. Sis is also about her bag. The "Savage" rapper has collaborations with multiple brands like Cash App, Revel, and recently announced, Nike.
Through this particular partnership, the Hot Girl Coach is promoting the Nike Training Club App. Exercise sessions, workout and wellness tips, and athletic wear are all available through the platform. In a fun video released to her Instagram, she shared the strenuous work behind being a performer, and highlighted how she is criticized for not truly being an "athlete," to which she responds:
"Oh really? Let's see you run through twelve-hour dance rehearsals, train five days a week, then perform in front of 50,000 people, squatting 50% of the time! Real hot girls know, no one can define us but us."
App-users are expected to see a more intimate side of what Meg's fitness journey entails and get the motivation and help needed to reach their own health goals.
This marketing move is not a new strategy for Nike. In fact, in the past, they've had successful collaborations with other major artists including Drake, Travis Scott, and Kendrick Lamar. Brand collaboration and influencer marketing continue to be a major way that companies are forming a better relationship with their customers while successfully selling their products.
And the more I see them, the more I realize, Black women are the secret sauce. I mean, just look at the material.

August 13 is National Prosecco Day, and if you like to break out the bubbly, now is the perfect time to do so. The holiday, which was founded by Riondo Prosecco in 2011, was created to celebrate the popular sparkling wine, and now that you know about it, you can celebrate it too. Here are a few ways to indulge in some wine time this holiday.
Order Up The Bubbly At Your Local Restaurant
Whether it’s brunch or happy hour, prosecco can elevate any occasion. One way to celebrate National Prosecco Day is by going to your local restaurant and ordering a bottle for the table. I recently visited R3 Rosendale Concepts in Atlanta for happy hour, and since my friend and I were in a fancy mood, we ordered a couple of glasses of prosecco as well as food. We enjoyed the delicious homemade chips and arugula pizza and were pleased with how attentive the staff was. If you’re in Atlanta, I would recommend this place, but if you live elsewhere, find a local spot that is also celebrating the holiday.

“Quick & Easy” Raspberry Lemonade Champagne Spritz | I’m so ready for the summer! #bartendersoftiktok #drinkrecipes#cocktailrecipes #bartending101 #passionfruit #champagne #champagnelovers #raspberrylemonade #angybvby #prosecco #summercocktails #cocktailparty #springdrinks
Thanks to Issa Rae, we now know about prosecco with a splash of vodka, but there are some other cool recipes to check out as well, like this one on TikTok. The “Quick and Easy” Raspberry Lemonade Champagne Spritz is a great one to try on a perfect summer Sunday.
All you need is raspberries (muddled), a shot of vodka, lemonade (Calypso lemonade is used in the TikTok), champagne or prosecco, and a few sliced lemons.
Last but not least, turn National Prosecco Day into an all-day affair. Have your friends over for games like Prosecco Pong, break out the charcuterie boards, and of course, prosecco. Or, if you want to get out of the house, consider sitting pretty by the pool or throwing a pool party. Have a picnic, cookout, or attend a paint and sip class. There are so many ways that you can celebrate the holiday, and if all goes well, why not make it an annual thing?
