LeToya Luckett was a beautiful bride in the perfect wedding...
Except it wasn't in real life...or at least not yet.
This Summer, the singer-turned-actress will be starring in a new romantic comedy, 'Lucky Girl' alongside Malik Yoba, Columbus Short, Empire's Serayah McNeil, and Parker McKenna Posey (formally 'Katie from my wife and kids who is all grown up.) In the film, LeToya plays the bride-to-be "Selena", who is preparing for her wedding day but seems to be conflicted on who's the best person for her.
The Jackie Christie executive-produced rom-com, is described as the following:
For soon to be bride Selena (Luckett), nothing about her wedding day weekend is going as expected. As she prepares to get married on Christmas Eve, a group of her closest, yet zany, college buddies descend upon her mother Melanie's luxurious home for her upcoming rehearsal dinner. Selena must now play the role of friend, referee, and even psychiatrist. Added to this tumultuous mix is her fiance, Darnell's parents. ...Most particularly his mother, Coral, who thinks Darnell could have done better than Selena. As Selena tries to make the best of things, juggling all of the "off the chain" people in her crazy life, she seeks counsel from a mysterious blast from her past, Dillon (Columbus Short.) He is supportive, caring, loving and devastatingly handsome. He seems to be just what Selena needs, but all is not what it appears to be.
Interesting! This should be especially fun, seeing as to how we have a chance to see some of our faves work together- including Columbus Short whom we hadn't seen much of since last year's "scandal" with his real-life wife, that was rumored to have led to his actual character on ABC's "Scandal" to be killed off.
And some interesting tea: Kevin Durant's friend Cliff Dixon is in the film, which is ironic since LeToya dated Kevin briefly.
Letoya and Ella Joyce (She's giving us some serious flashbacks from the TV Show 'Roc')
In addition to being an executive producer, Jackie Christie has a small role in the film
