Lakeith Stanfield's Ability To Flaunt His Relationship, But Also Keep It Secret, Is Why We Love It So Much

Lakeith Stanfield is easily one of my favorite people in Hollywood. Easily. He's quirky in the best way, he is Black AF in all that he does, and, oh yeah, he's one hell of an actor. Most recently, his portrayal of Bill O'Neal in Shaka King's Judas and the Black Messiah sent the world buzzing, cementing him with one of the most brilliantly crafted roles in Black cinema. Stanfield has also acted in some of our other faves, Get Out, Donald Glover's Atlanta, and Sorry to Bother You.

But what many of us may or may not know much about, is he's been in a relationship with 'Cherish the Day' and 'The Mindy Project' actress, Xosha Roquemore, since 2015.

The two even welcomed a daughter in 2017, who Xosha references on her Twitter page from time to time. Lakeith, not so much. Truth is, we don't know much about the couple, or if they're even together today. But that's also what we love so much about it. They don't hide their love from anyone, as they've openly walked multiple red carpets together, posed for pics, and maybe even alluded to the other at times.

But for me to not even be able to tell you if they're together today, or hell, even what their daughter's name is, is the ultimate 'mind your business' flex.

In an interview with Vulture, when LaKeith was asked about his girlfriend and their newborn at the time, he simply said:

"I don't talk about it."

He also told Complex:

"This is a very fickle business, and it's a very fickle job choice. And that's another reason you have to stay grounded, because if you don't, then you just begin to do it and become like a little monkey. Especially the way my lifestyle is going right now, as things begin accelerating and moving forward, it's important I understand the things that matter. If I lose sight of that, then I lose sight of where I'm supposed to be going. And all of a sudden I wake up and I go, What the fuck is going on?"

And that's all you're going to get out him when it comes to his personal life.

Although in February of 2020, under the moniker HTIEKAL (his name backward), he released his single "Fast Life" with bae as his muse. The cover features a picture of him and Roquemore at the 70th Primetime Emmy Awards.

Xosha on the other hand, has fun with the secrecy of their relationship and often jokingly mocks the two, with tweets about their daughter or even Lakeith, himself.

From referring to him as 'Brotha Stanfield':

To cracking a few jokes:

In the end, whether they're together or not, the fact that I want to celebrate their Black love as loudly as possible, I just can't. And that's a 'mind your business, sis' that I love to see.

Could The 'O Method' Be Just What You Need To Have The Sex You Want?

An author by the name of Alexandra Katehakis once said this about orgasms: “Great spiritual teachers throughout the ages have stated that orgasm is the closest some people come to a spiritual experience because of the momentary loss of self. Why is this true? Because with spiritual sex, you move beyond orgasm into a connection with yourself, your partner, and the divine — recognizing them all as one.”

If it’s counterintuitive to what you’ve ever thought about orgasms, believe it or not, there are even pastors who have said that climaxing is the closest comprehension of heaven on this side of it: it is an extreme kind of bliss that is indescribable and is best experienced between two people who share a sacrificial kind of love for one another.
