Well, you can go ahead and add Elle to K.'s expanding sh-tlist.
This weekend, to the surprise of many, K. Michelle threw some serious shade at Elle that had both of their fanbases scratching their heads. Especially, since the girls (who share the same management) seemed so close earlier this year.
It all started when rapper Meek Mill posted a photo of Elle hugging him on his Instagram with the caption "#nocurvezone."
Elle reposted the photo and added a heart to the caption, which prompted an Instagram diss from K. Michelle. She wrote:
People be smiling in the pictures not knowing they getting dissed in the caption. HA! You definitely need a REFILL as thirsty as you
are. Jokes on you and you didn't even know it!
She also thew one last dart at Elle by adding:
I hope you got attention from that cuz you sure don't get it from your music.
Earlier this year, Elle tweeted that Meek Mill tried to hit on her and she's so awkward that she curved him by accident.
I get SO AWKWARD when guys hit on me STILL lmao
I'm so awkward I accidentally curved Meek Mill once lol
Meek in response, tweeted:
She said she curved me I don't remember...Lol
[***curve means to deny/reject an individual's expression of interest or sexual advances. ***]
When the two came face to face at a BET Awards party on Friday, it could have ended up being really awkward but instead the "curve" situation became a joke between the two. It was definitely all love, especially since Meek Mill posted another photo saying,
Me telling Russell [Simmons] how real the curve was lol
So what is the real beef between K. Michelle and Elle?
Back in February, things were great and K. even tweeted:
Happy Bday to my sister my friend @ellevarner Thanks for having my back and being such a beautiful soul. I don't trust a lost of people anymore, but you my dear will always have my support and loyalty! Enjoy your Bday. Love Ya
However, by March, things started to fall apart after Elle released "Cold Case," and K. Michelle claimed she helped write the song. She later accused someone of jacking her style in an Instagram post captioned:
Watch who you becomes friends with. They will dress up like you. Start yodeling in hooks and everything. Count down till blast off.
Ironically, Elle does something similar to a yodel on the hook of "Cold Case."
We've seen this situation time and time again. Singers become close just to fall out with each other months later. You have to wonder if it's something that could have been handled over a phone call or if it's really that deep that it had to pour over into social media. A good duet could have come out of all of this.
