Halle Berry Is Clapping Back At Trolls Who Say She 'Can't Keep A Man'

"Who said I wanted to keep them?"

Celebrity News

Y'all are going to learn to leave Halle Berry alone, she bothers nobody! But somehow, her name has come up in headlines quite often the past few months. These headlines date back to November 2020 where, first, the Oscar-winning actress and her friend, Lindsay Flores, took happy hour to a new level in an impromptu discussion that covered sex, sex and more sex. It was here that she revealed that she had her first orgasm at just 11 years old.

While Lindsay struggled to recall the details of hers—like who, what, where, when and how—Halle remembered it like it was yesterday. The star shared:

"I remember my first orgasm... I did it to myself. I was diddling. I was figuring out my sexuality, like most girls."

Soon after, in a conversation with the ladies during an episode of Fox Soul's Cocktails with Queens, Lisa Raye McCoy mentioned a rumor about Berry's sex life, which took over the internet and forced Halle to respond by tweeting:

"Ms. @TheRealLRaye1, ask my man @vanhunt he'll tell ya all y'all need ta know.

Of course, Van Hunt has been mute in the conversation, but sis definitely showed up with the flex.

And most recently, Berry fired back at online trolls who targeted her and her love life. After sharing a quote on social media that read, "Women don't owe you s—," it was received well from most of the 'gram, and was even shown love from fellow celebs such as Chrissy Teigen, Vivica A. Fox, and Tia Mowry.

But one online troll caught Berry's attention when they commented, "With all of your accomplishments, fame, beauty, it seems, as if, you CAN'T keep a man," to which Berry replied with:

"Who said I wanted to keep them? I'm all about living your best life, if you make a wrong move, course correct and re-spin and start again!"

Ummm, waitress, can you bring the check, please?!

Commenters are referencing her love life, where Berry has had several high-profile relationships. She was married to baseball player David Justice from 1993-1997. She went on to marry her second husband, Eric Benet in 2001 and officially divorced in 2005. She had her first child with sizzling model Gabriel Aubry in 2008 before the couple split two years later. And after several years of dating, Berry and Olivier Martinez wed in 2013, eventually welcoming Berry's second child later that year. The couple announced in 2015 that they were divorcing.

Since, her love life has been quiet, and she has remained unproblematic, with dating singer Van Hunt, 50. The news of their relationship was confirmed in September 2020.

Ultimately, dating is a part of life, ladies. And I'm not sure why women hold the other to this standard that we cannot date or marry as we please—especially with a dating record that dates all the way back to 1993 (which is almost thirty years ago). If a situation doesn't work for you anymore, let's normalize putting mental care in place, and making peace with peacing out.

Tell us about your dating past! Have you ever had to leave multiple relationships that were no longer serving you?

I think it's fair to say that most of us long to reach that place where the money resides, especially in the present times when life is so uncertain and people are likely to lose their jobs at any given moment. On the other hand, perhaps thanks to the plethora of entrepreneurs that document their journeys on social media, there's the sense that abundant financial wealth seems more accessible now than it ever has before. With that said, despite all the step-by-step guides to becoming rich available on the market, we can still hear the same question echoing in our heads: How do I get to the bag, though?
