Even With Much Success, Doja Cat Admits She’s Not Happy

Fame, money and success doesn't equal happiness.

Celebrity News

Doja Cat has had a very prosperous few years in the music industry. She dropped two albums within two years, which charted well on Billboard, and her songs “Streets” and “Say So” from her 2019 project Hot Pink took over the internet during the pandemic due to them going viral on TikTok.

She also took home countless awards from MTV’s EMA’s to the VMA’s which she hosted and now she’s nominated for a Grammy along with Saweetie for their hit song “Best Friend.” But even with all the success, Doja isn’t happy.

Recently, the dynamic performer took to Instagram Live and shared with fans about the pressures in her career and not enjoying her fame.

“And I mean [I want to] make music like willy nilly, like just have fun and just jam and make some shit. I haven’t done that in maybe five years, feels like,” she said. “I’m doing all this shit that I don’t fucking wanna do. I don’t wanna take fucking pictures. Like, yes…planning a photoshoot is very fun. Capturing a concept, capturing a visual idea, like something like that, I love fashion, I do. I really do. I love to dress up, I love all that shit. Do I wanna do that shit because I have to? No! No, I don’t.”

“But I feel pressured to do shit like that. I don’t fucking wanna do that. I wanna be home. … I wanna make music, I wanna play fucking video games,” she concluded.

This isn’t the first time the 26-year-old rapper has expressed not being happy. In October, Doja fired off a series of tweets about being “tired,” but has since deleted them. The tweets reportedly read, “I’m just tired and I don’t want to do anything. I’m not happy. I’m done saying yes to motherfuckas cuz I can’t even have a week to just chill,” she said.

“I’m never not working. I’m fucking tired. Alex is getting old he’s 68 years old and I can’t even be there for him. I wanna be alone. It’s not anybody else’s fault but mine anyway I just keep agreeing to shit I don’t wanna do in the future. It’s my own dumb-ass fault. And then I’m too tired to put any effort into this shit cuz I’m so run down from everything else.”

We hope Doja gets the rest she needs.

From Classical To Heart: All The Different Styles A Vagina Can Be

When was the last time you held a mirror and took a good look at your pussy? I mean a real hard look at it. What does she look like? Is your vagina normal? Several years ago, I received a DM from a young lady asking me this very question. She wanted to know if her vagina looked “normal.” She went on to explain that her pussy wasn’t as "pretty" as the ones she’d seen in porn and how insecure that made her feel. I can totally relate to her insecurities. I couldn’t begin to tell you how many jokes I’ve heard over the years from men about women and their vaginas. I would be lying if I said I’ve never pondered the same.

5 Benefits Of Matcha That Will Make You Want To Drink It Every Day

For as long as I can remember, I have been a lowkey-highkey caffeine addict. Don't let them fool you, caffeine is most definitely a drug. And while some might argue that it is healthier to consume coffee versus beverages like energy drinks or sodas, there is a thin line between its pros and cons. Starting my day with coffee has become a bit of a ritual as much as it has become a necessity. Without it, the caffeine withdrawal would lead to a splitting headache, a decrease in energy, and that infamous midday slump. It hardly seemed worth it to switch my habit to something healthier. However, after doing some research, I decided to make the switch (at least part-time) to drinking matcha.
