Your Monthly Horoscopes: December 2018

Horoscopes

Have you been met with miscommunication, unexpected travel delays, issues with technology, unaccounted for events - or a general feeling of being overwhelmed lately? Blame it on the retrograde. Mercury retrograde was back in full effect as of mid-November, and wreaked the most havoc in the signs Pisces, Sagittarius, Gemini, and Virgo.

Luckily for us, the third and final Mercury retrograde of this year is on its way out as of December 6th, and with its exit, makes room for the positive vibes from the lovely planet Jupiter to enter. Jupiter will be in its own sign of Sagittarius for the first time in 12 years and it will be influencing all of us in very good ways. Most of us will be ending the year with a bang and setting ourselves up for success in the year to come. Thus, the theme of the month is clarity.

It's all about other people's money this month, Taurus! You may already be starting to think of how to plan for your taxes in the spring. With Jupiter in focus, December is a time that you may be coming into resolutions regarding financial commitments and contracts. This includes your partner's finances as well. And you may find yourself finding new clarity and possibilities when it comes to joint ventures of all kinds.

There's a planetary party going on in your 8th house of finances and deep psychological matters. On a physical level, you will be feeling more energetic and sensual and may want to take things deeper physically as well as emotionally with a partner. If you don't have a partner, this is a time when you could possibly meet your new partner in a non-traditional dating environment. So pay attention to that cutie at your next Starbucks trip! You will be wide open to form intimate relationships at this time. If you have been typically reclusive lately, you will be drawn out of your shell during December. You might find yourself truly enjoying the holidays with more socializing with both friends and family than you have in the past.

Mercury has been in retrograde for a few weeks and will be finally stable again after December 6th. For your sign, you will be feeling more ambitious with a team of companions to help you reach your goals. Use your financial savvy to help organize yourself as well as your team. Come April, with your forward-thinking financial prowess, you will be way ahead of the game.

Keke Palmer is easily one of our favorite tell-it-like-it-is celebrities. From her up close and personal revelation of her battle with adult acne to doing it for the culture at the MET Gala to admitting she's "sorry to this man," Keke is known to give it to you straight, no chaser. And it's that commitment to being unapologetic in telling her truth that draws others to her like the light that she is.

As the saying goes, there is nothing new underneath the sun. So it comes as no surprise that something as groundbreaking as the graphic eyeliner look trend from a couple of years ago is making its rounds again as a must-try beauty trend for the fall season. Saying goodbye to the traditional thick-wit-it non-floating winged liner and hello to the new wave of if-it's-up-then-it's-up-then-it's-stuck eye makeup looks is the ultimate fall beauty move. It's the floating crease for us.

Reading is by far one of the easiest ways to press pause and escape. Some books are page-turners, keeping you on the edge of your seat with each and every thrill. Other books are filled to the brim with intrigue. Other books are filled with so much heat between their pages, it's a wonder how erotica can almost feel as tantalizing as the real thing. Above all, we can read books for knowledge. It was author Stephen King who said, "Books are a uniquely portable magic." We learn, we love, we fantasize, we feel, and we heal from these portals of hundreds of pages offering food for thought. How could books not be magic?

A couple of years ago, I had significant breakthrough in so many areas of my life. At first, it felt overwhelming to process so much guilt, shame, blame, resentment, and anger. There was so much digging I had to do to understand my journey — let alone accept areas in my life that I felt deprived of and to see the lessons in it regardless. It was a rude awakening to see all the things I was carrying for years emotionally and mentally, and I never thought it was necessary to pause and find tools to work through a lot of my issues. However, this transformative experience made me hungry for healing.

I've got quite a few male friends. Also, because of what I do for a living, I have many male clients too. While there are a billion-and-one reasons why I'm actually grateful to be able to say this, probably my top favorite one is that I get to hear a lot of men's innermost thoughts — things that sometimes they are hesitant to say because they're not sure how we'll take it and/or things they've never really felt comfortable being very open about and/or — and yes, this happens — things they never get asked their thoughts on and so, they never bring those things up.
